That would be like if I run up into someone else's home and try to impose my thoughts and ideals on them. Or it seems like that...

Does it seem like that to you? Yeah, we all know what he has said and what he means. And calling people mediocre and mediocre minded etc. over and over really helps keep it civil how? If my neighbour tried to insult me every day, I'm not just supposed to pretend he doesn't exist and face the other neighbour?

Can you stop derailing please?

I didn't insult anyone. You're just derailing. Like you always do.

Anyways, moving on.

I've moved AJ Griffin ahead of Kendall Brown on my personal fav list and he is closing on Ivey for me.

my favorites for the Raptors
1 Jaden Ivey
2 AJ Griffin
3 Kendall Brown
4 TyTy Washington
5 Tari Eason

Realistically we are only in range for Washington and Eason right now but Brown might drop a bit, we rise a bit to 10-11 and we could get him as well. Would need lottery luck for Ivey and Griffin.

Griffin, Tyty and Brown are going to be out of our range unless we move up a little into that 11-13 range (which is possible).

That's where I think we end up. We are 1 game out of the 11th pick and Atlanta is at 10 currently heating up.

STILL hilarious because there is literally a separate thread now

Yet...keep popping back here. Incredible.

I never left, this thread's more fun. More to the point, both threads are disingenuous, and the intent to polarize what's really the same discussion is just stupid.

There's not really any "tanking" happening - maybe some opportunistic sitting of players towards the end of the season as we saw last season, but certainly no multi-season roster blow-up in the traditional sense of the word. On the "other" side, there's no real desperation to make the playoffs at all costs, but I know it makes people here more comfortable to categorize people. It also makes for funnier memes.

People don't "belong" in any specific thread, especially when they try to bottle an open discussion. You can keep trying though

Go read the other thread after reading this one, and tell me that the same conversations are happening. They're not.

What is stupid though, is having the same circular arguments with people you disagree with, instead of having constructive ones in another thread with more like minded posters.

If the objective is to further entrench people in meaningless and divisive camps, then you are 100% correct.

It's an overreach to police which threads people can participate in when the discourse isn't personal or inflammatory to individuals.

"Team Mediocre" has been nothing but an insult from the start, is still an insult and its intended to be one. Especially when you in particular use it describe everyone that thinks differently and is in this group as liking mediocrity, striving for mediocrity and having a mediocre intelligence. It comes of as an insult every single time.

Yep, I guess now I\'ve been real clear I can move on.

Kentucky has a couple of big injuries at guard, Shaedon Sharpe has been at full team practice. There is a chance he makes his debut tonight.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

11 would be a nice sweet spot (considering our current predicament, we would ideally be in that 8-10 range if we hadn't gotten lucky with some covid protocol and border restriction/opponents resting starters victories).

At 11 we could get someone that drops (Griffin?Brown?Duren?etc) or we could have first dibs on that second batch of prospects in Tyty, Murray, Dyson Daniels, Hardy, Jovic, etc).

The whole reason why the other thread was created is because discussions in this one were turning personal and/or inflammatory. Like I said in the OP of the PWO thread, people can post in either thread in good faith.

People are talking about two totally different directions they want to see the team go in, and for the most part they've been happy to do it.

Here's the problem - moderators have allowed labels like "Team Mediocre" to persist in the first place. That's perhaps the single largest contributor to the baiting that has happened. It's a misnomer - nobody wants that label, it doesn't even make sense and the great irony is that most of the people who are eager to use it have no tangible or defensible method of "tanking", so it's not even symbolic of a philosophy or stance.

The whole thing has become ridiculous, as you even have people on "both sides" who might like the same specific plan (eg. team competes until trade deadline and then rests as much as the league will allow before fining) but who now identify with sides.

And here's the kicker - you can't contain it, because of things like the game threads, where people who "want to tank" (again whatever that means) are openly cheering for losses and any fan who might be happy about a win must want to "treadmill" or be ignorant about the "big picture" (that part is especially laughable).

Sorry to interrupt but this should all just be private messages to Reeko. No need to derail the tank thread further.

He's way off with some of his picks, but it's a decent video for anyone that just likes to see people's mocks and rationale for it.
