Grimes has a double impact because he's active and decent to good on defense but also because he's in for Fournier, who is horrible

before one of those things happen, thibs might call Kirk Hinrich.

Kirk Hinrich probably would be the Knicks best PG if that were to happen.

Jameer Nelson... Augustine.. Crawford.. . Nate.... Lin... Best... Jalen rose... There's so many pgs and non pgs that could be a facilitator on this roster better than Kemba Walker or Alec Burks.....

And you know that Riley will figure out a way to make it happen.

Riley must suck a mean dick. That's the only explanation how he makes the moves he makes

For real. He's playing chess and most of the rest of the leagues front office is failing at playing checkers.

At this point I'm over slight upgrades at positions that are alright. I want an actual starting pg and there are like maybe 2 people on this team that I wouldn't trade to get one

Very apropos, as he was the most questionable FA signing of the offseason.

Honestly the Knicks have missed Nerlens a lot. He's undisciplined on defense and can be a bit wild but he's really the only player besides Grimes who causes disruption on that end. Knicks have seemingly forced way more turnovers with him back the last 2 games.

He's flawed but I think him making less than 10 million a year is more than fine given he stays healthy the rest of the way IMO.

How many backup Cs make 10 million a year?

I think he's more of a low end starter in all practicality.

Knicks were a top 5 defense largely because of him last year. He has his flaws but he would start for numerous teams in the league imo

Great we’re all getting healthy. Sounds like a losing streak.
Why is it they only seem “whole” when half the team is out?

RJ always has terrible games against the Heat.

If he actually balls out tonight that will say a lot about his development

Thibs don't give a damn how good you play. If you're under 25 and not a top 3 pick...you are lucky to be playing. No matter how bad his vets are playing...they will get the most minutes. Once in a blue moon he will surprise you but...not often enough.

This is one of the better young group of kids I can recall having in a long time. We are going to waste them playing Kemba/Evan/Burks chasing the 12 seed. Then trade them away for someone who won't win us a title.

He's pretty damn stubborn, but maybe not totally...Grimes has been rewarded with minutes lately.

Grimes wouldn't have seen an ounce of daylight if it wasn't for Covid. He'd still riding the end of the bench. Thibs is a joke.

Yeah... he's not totally against kids. He just doesn't give minuets based on performance. It's age and contract first. They get to make as many mistakes and paly as terrible as they want...with little to no consequence. God forbid a kid misses a shot or blows an assignment. They get benched lightning fast for the same scrubby vets NO OTHER TEAM wants. Chasing the 12 seed. This is the team they committed to for 3 years.

Kemba(2)/Rose
Burks
Evan
Randle (5!!!!!!)
Noel

They spent a lot of money on that group. Terrible.
