POR Out: Lillard, McCollum
POR In: Maxey, Thybulle, THT, Muscala, Harris, Favors, LA 27’, 2x 1sts from PHI, 4x 1sts from OKC.
Portland accepts reality and clears the decks. Harris, Covington, Nurk & possibly Powell are moved in follow up moves which i’m happy to hypothesize if anyone cares. Favors bought out. Build around Simons, Maxey, Thybulle + a treasure chest of picks and if THT & Muscala stick so much the better.

LAL out: Nunn, Ariza, THT, Jordan, Ellington, Bazemore, doumbouya, 27’ 1st
LAL in: McCollum
LAL sends out their worthless vets and a good pick and get some extremely needed spacing. Huge risk but Lebron only lasts so long.

PHI out: Harris, Simmons, Maxey, Thybulle, 2x 1sts
PHI In: Lillard, Nunn, Ariza
PHI gets Lillard and moves Harris’ contract. What else to say.

OKC out: Favors, Muscala, 4x 1sts
OKC in: Ben Simmons, bazemore, doumbouya, Jordan, Ellington
OKC cashes in and cuts the vets to build around SGA-Dort-Giddey-Simmons.

Terrible for POR.

Not a single top end end player, prospect or pick.

And LAL gets CJ for their trash assets somehow.

FWIW though, I think Simmons goes Beastmode when he returns.

Unrelated, but what return do you think the Blazers want for Norman Powell?

DAL Out: Powell/DFS

OKC In: Powell
OKC Out: Favors

Utah In: DFS
Utah Out: Ingles

Likely some minor value needs to go to OKC, but where is Dallas at? Are they interested in any of the Utah guys in the range of them +2nds/fringe prospect for DFS or no?

I have Dallas downgrading twice here and burning the TPE. And DFS is a player they almost certainly want to re-sign to a multiyear deal. That probably isn't the case with Ingles.

I wouldn't make this swap for 2nds.

Presumably no interest in Clarkson or Bojan in that slot either then?

And interesting, I'd still had Favors as a marginal uprade to Powell.

No Incentive to move NP at all. He’s a solid, if unspectacular guy that plays both ends and is fairly compensated.

Can I interest you in a pre owned CJ McCollum?

What about something like...

Jakob Poeltl, CJ McCollum to Toronto
Goran Dragic, Malachi Flynn, Khem Birch to Portland
Chris Boucher, 2022 2nd (POR), 2023 1st (Top 4 Protected - TOR), 2023 2nd (TOR), 2027 2nd (POR)

if it was just a two team trade, John Hollinger pitched this trade idea

Dragic, Flynn, Birch for McCollum straight up

I'm becoming a Powell homer I think. :D

But mainly I'm talking about Dallas specifically. Luka is a PNR guard and Powell is a terrific PNR big. And on defense Favors is almost certainly a better defender, but Powell's mobility really helps playing next to KP since Dallas switches all screens. So for Dallas I think Powell has more utility than Favors would.

I'm okay with you or everyone thinking in a vacuum Favors is better. Powell is a limited player for sure. Just his limits pair nicely with how Dallas plays.

Not sending out picks to downgrade CJ to bench players.

I think if TOR sends a pair of SRP you’ve got a deal.

interesting deal but I think Masai passes because it puts raptors in the tax. too bad; someone like mccollum could take the raps to the next level.

Philly's reaction if he came back after being traded, drilling 3s or at least midrange jumpers consistently after a year of working on his shot would be priceless.

Have there been any whispers about what he's doing with his time off? Is he staying in shape, working on his shot?

So what's the value on Randle? Is he in borderline dump territory or no? How much balancing does the below need? Tried to get Fournier in to get NY out of more money, but tricky to find the space in Utah.

Utah In: Randle/Burks
Utah Out: Ingles/Clarkson

NY In: Ingles/THT/min
NY Out: Randle/Burks

LAL In: Clarkson
LAL Out: THT/min

Edit: Maybe that should be Kemba in place of Burks on 2nd thought.

Edit 2: Maybe if Jazz ownership was really willing to pay they could send Gay to LAL and get Fournier back. with filler from LA to NY.

Randle?

I don't have him as a good fit with Rudy G.

At the moment, it appears the opinions are mixed. I have him as a salary dump.

100% it'd be spendy, but Jazz don't have a bunch of assets right now. Considered a similar deal with the Kings and Barnes.

What would Toronto give for Poeltl (both in terms of salary matching to stay below the tax and asset-wise)?

As a Raps fan (who got to do security for Raptors meet and greets, Norm included) Stormin' Norman is an easy dude to homer for. Plays hard, shows up in the moment, great locker room guy, and having met him as I said, really good vibes - chill as all hell. Asking me, who's just there to make sure nobody hassles him, how my day was going and what I was going to get up to with my weekend.

I like what GTJ's been providing, and his defensive growth has been impressive, but I still miss NP.
