Ell Curry wrote:Agbaji vs TyTy today. I'm still expecting TyTy to go before we pick, but Agbaji could be there when we pick and we could certainly use a ready to go 6'5 gunner who plays D well, even if he's that's just a 2nd Gary Trent.

But with Trent's short contract and being extendable (is 68/3 which I think is his max enough for him to extend with us or another team?), I could see us picking Agbaji and moving Trent for a center or a 1st rounder since he's such a good plug and play starting 2 guard for damn near every playoff team but Phoenix and maybe Charlotte or Memphis.

Depending where we pick I guess, because I think TyTy goes in the late lottery. I think that's right where Toronto will be.

Eason 16/3/1/3
7/12 shooting

Walker Kessler 21/9/0/1/4
9/11 shooting, one to keep an eye on

AJ Griffin 22/4/0/2/0
8/13 shooting, lights out from deep

Mathurin and Banchero sucked.

With our ability to make non shooters into decent shooters I really like Eason and think he might have some untapped potential . I think the Raps are in need of the 3pt shooting and big man who can play out the high pick in roll or in the middle of the zone it's getting more important to have a player who can make the right decision I that roll

JEREMY
SOCHAN
Baylor Bears
#1
Forward
Freshman
HT/WT
6' 9", 230 lbs
BIRTHPLACE
Milton Keynes, England
AGE 18.7

Watched their game today against Alabama and this kid looks more impressive than Kendall Brown in this game.

Elite size and elite defender at 6-9, 230.

Came over from Europe to the bench in college, so his real abilities might not come to display yet.

Sochan would fit very well on the Raptors.

Sochan looks to have a very strong and wide base. After a couple of years of toning and lean bulking, he might be more suited to defend the Center position than our other big forwards we play there at moment. Offensively, he may end up getting pigeon holed into a stretch role. Can put the ball on the floor a bit and handle a bit. Interesting prospect if we’re picking in late teens.

He looks like a fitter Boris Diaw.

Sochan, Brown, Griffin, Eason. There is no shortage of Masai type big, long wings in this draft.

Griffin is a knock down shooter but he might not be available for us.

No - he's a wing and definitely not a center type. If anything he can be a SG. I am not sure why he's so passive at Baylor, he's athletic and has wing skills. He's definitely not Diaw.

Oscar Tshiebwe. Beast.

I feel he would be like on a Biyombo level in the NBA.

Walker Kessler outplayed him head to head.

I feel Brown is much better in vertical and perhaps quickness, where he can play SF if he improves his skill.
However, you are right, Sochan showed more skills and shooting than what I watched from Brown earlier in the year, and I don't feel Brown should be that high (hyped up by potential and dunks).

Doesn't look too lengthy to me, Masai ain't drafting him is he doesn't have a minimum of a 7'3 wingspan and 9 foot reach, all depends on how any prospects measure.

Kessler is a prototypical SAC/WASH lottery pick. Good luck with that.

Pick a player that has at least 1 elite skill and can improve on the other aspects of their game. Brown is super athletic and unselfish and makes good reads on offense and defense.

He seems like a Jarrett Allen kind of player.
