it's a very late FRP, you can replace it with a couple of SRP and the matter does not change

Then we can just replace the FRP with a couple of SRP and the matter doesn't change for Boston, right?

Christian Woods last 10 games
20ppg, 11 rbds, 50/44/68, 1 stl + 1 blk
A lot was made of his incident but he's been playing very well since the situation actually.

It’s possible I’m going to be eating some crow at the deadline.
I have been adamant that the Wolves wouldn’t trade Patrick Beverley. I have shown the spectacular numbers that the starters have put up when all five are in the line up, the defense and accountability he has instilled in so many players, and the fact that he loves Minnesota. However, if someone two weeks from now said, “Patrick Beverley has been traded! We’re there any signs?” I’d have to say. ..yes?
1. Jake Fischer said MIN has offered Beasley and Beverley in trades.
2. Beverley has been sitting out with an ankle sprain, played limited minutes last night, and is questionable for tomorrows game
3. Sachin Gupta has said that he may be a buyer, but only if it helps the team down the line. Beverley will be too old then.
4. Beverley is up for a new contract this summer, and he and the team may not agree.
I would still say Beasley, and Prince are far more likely to be dealt than Beverley, but I am no longer putting him in the “untradeable” category.

I've felt for a while that he looks tradeable.
- His agent was saying he wanted to stay and asked for an extension but no extension has materialized. I think Bev is trying to get some guaranteed money while he's playing well and non-injured.
- If Minny really wanted to keep him then they could have extended him by now.
- He isn't the right age for the Wolves group.
Ultimately though, I think they either trade him for a bigger package or just let him expire in offseason and either re-sign him or use a full MLE on someone else.
Though I really like Beverley traded for THT+Nunn. That fits both teams well right now but may be too much risk for Wolves to take on.

Probably does not deserve it's own thread, but with the rumors of Beasley interest coming from Boston (and Huerter before that), I think it's evident Boston knows they need a plus shooter quite badly.
Obviously not even on the level of one of these guys, but who is the best shooter Boston could get for Schroder? Sterling Brown from Mavs? Too high, too low?

Story in Dallas is they want no part of Dennis. Dirk influence? But I would think in terms of value he's definitely worth Sterling Brown.
But mainly I don't like hearing Boston wants affordable shooting because I think Dallas needs affordable shooting particularly with THJ gone.

It's like Delon Wright all over again. Dallas needs more shooting too.
What happened to Brown? He was solid last year shooting 42% from 3PT and now has fallen down to 34% and playing half the minutes he was in MIL.
Same thing in Boston. Tatum and Brown get criticized for not passing but they are kicking it out to Smart, Schroder, Season long slump Horford, etc. Guess every team really needs shooting as we all know.

I'm rarely ever right so I have to chime in here on this unchartered territory. I was screaming for the Mavs to draft Trent Jr over Brunson and Bane or Bey over Green, if only.

Re: Thoughts in General, Rumors, etc 5.0
Everyone in Dallas has shot under expectations pretty much. I chalk some of it up to poor offensive schemes by Kidd and his staff, but some of it I just think was part of the league wide poor shooting start. As to his minutes, yeah he just hadn't been able to secure a spot. He started out in the rotation then Ntilikina sort of took it and then Josh Green and now he's been out with injury for several weeks. There are minutes for him again with THJ out so I expect to see him back in the rotation?
But it does look like Josh Green has sort of seized what would have been his role so I think even with Timmy's injury he would be available for cheap.

I'd expect we'd listen, but they dont appear to feel any pressure to make a move now - which I agree with. Finch's comments below:

from reading this board you'd think the issue wasn't too few sellers but rather too few buyers. Majority of posters feel like their rosters simply can't be improved upon which is of course not true, but also not surprising to read.

I like Dieng, but the rest of it doesn't really solve any of our issues, if anything, it makes our perimeter defense worse. If Atlanta would be interested in sending Dieng into our TPE, and then getting Whiteside (minimum) in return, I'd be down for that. Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't, but don't see much else there.

Re: Thoughts in General, Rumors, etc 5.0
Does this trade work for either team?
Knicks send Noel
Knicks get Burke, SBrown, MBrown
Mavs send Burke, SBrown, MBrown
Mavs get Noel
Then Mavs take Kemba into TPE
For Knicks it clears salary but still gives cheaper backups to maintain some depth.
For Mavs it gives another creator/scorer/shooter which they need with THJ out. Noel gives them an inside defensive presence to backup KP and perhaps start while he sits with a knee bone bruise. I don't like the added salary, but it does give them depth to ride out the absences.
