One thing to note about the spurs, is that they just got PF Zach Collins back last game for the first time since his surgery. He had a really good game in limited minutes and is most likely going to be a huge part of the Spurs moving forward. THey invested a lot in him.

Wonder if that's why Poetl is coming up in trade talks?

I can't tell what direction the Spurs are trying to go in.

Westbrook + 2027 pick for Wall makes too much sense. It's probably the only possible move they can make.

Lol we have become the new spurs of this decade. They are trying to copy us in every way lol. Lets try Demar, Oh Masai wants Turner lets go for him….

We have made it boys, we the new spurs!

Only thing left is to get multiple championships

Maybe get involved in a 3-way and get Spencer Somehow

Dinwiddie’s shooting 37% from the field and 31% from 3. What is there to like there?

His stats without beal are totally different. Him and beal aren't a good fit.

Assuming he would be coming off the bench here, he's an ideal combo guard to have who can create for others while also being a respectable threat from shooting. Very very good rebounder as well for his position.

He's the type of ball-handling combo guard we need when Fred goes to the bench. Maybe he turns his shooting % around after being traded.

Not something I’d be hoping for. He’s a career 31% 3pt shooter. Throw away his first 2 seasons where his fg% was horrific. He’s still had 3 other season sub 39%.

He is not a good shooter. That won’t change now. And he has 2 more years at 18M after this season. Yuck!

I punched this into the trade machine ..
Westbrook for Wall straight up, would result in Houston losing 14 more games , and Lakers would lose 5 more games
How is that even possible ? Both teams get worse ! ( according the ESPN DRAFT MACHINE)

Can you just make your moves now and not torture the fan base for the next three days. Thanks Masai.

I don’t think we should be trading first round picks at this stage. We need to continue to add young talent to this team that’s on rookie contracts. Trading first round picks to do what? Potentially win a round in the playoffs? Idk that type of thinking seems super short sighted for Masai who has always been about patience.

Secondly, if we do make a trade I.e. Dragic’s contract, I don’t think we need a C. It should be for a perimeter player that can handle the ball a little and shoot, ideally defend well too.

Anyways on a macro level, let Barnes develop, OG develop, Trent develop, add a FRP in the 20s, use the MLE on depth and see where we stand next season.

Have you not been watching this team! This team can go against any team in this league and have a strong chance of beating them in a series. When you have a team like that you need to forget about draft picks. Teams like OKC, Kings, Cavs, Detroit, Wolves, Portland, Pacers etc can keep playing the draft game. We are not those teams anymore we have learned what it takes to win in this league. Hoping to draft the next superstar at 14 or 15th draft slot is what causes teams to consistently never build a contender and have to break it up.

3 of our starters are champions and you dont support them over the next two years with just draft capital!

I need to see us beat some contenders at full strength before I'm willing to start betting the farm. It's fun to watch us beat the Heat and Bulls...but neither are at their best.

We aren’t at our best either you know why? Because we have 19 mil of player payroll practicing on Miami’s home court!

This team is not a contender and that won't change with an addition, this team needs seasoning.

Players on rookie contracts are vital to building a contender.

Throwing some ideas, we can fill out our two most needed positions by getting these 2 players: Thomas Bryant + Dinwiddie.

Cmon man.. really ?? Are we STILL doing the “fake wins” thing??? .. you know .. every team is winning games against other teams that are missing players ! :banghead:

Return to Toronto Raptors
