Yeah he got arrested, there’s a video/audio of what he’s done to his girlfriend and her dad put out some sorry excuse of a statement basically defending mason more than his own daughter lol.

United fail to beat Burnley after having two goals disallowed, and West Ham beat Watford comfortably. Top four is looking difficult for United, with a tough remaining fixture schedule and a clear sense of discord around the club. After watching that last night, Maguire has to be one of if not the worst signing of all time. Leicester robbed them blind. He keeps stepping up like he's Van Dijk and then immediately gets spun around, even by the slowest players, leaving his CB partner and fullbacks scrambling to cover. Man has the mobility and defensive instincts of a fridge. Worst part is, he's 28 and not very likely to get any better.

At the bottom, Newcastle smashed Everton. I think Lampard has a big job on his hands just to keep them up. Dele and Van de Beek look like decent signings on paper, but Dele will not put in the kinds of shifts that they'll need in a relegation dogfight, not anymore. Van de Beek is a nice player but needs to be part of a mobile pressing team to thrive. Not sure if that's how Lampard will want them to play, but there's an odd mix of players in that squad, which just speaks to how confused Everton's recruitment and long-term strategy has been.

Doesn't Maguire start for England?

Does he still play most of the games in the WC qualifiers?

And yet, only a few years ago Manchester United fans were telling of us the greatness of Maguire (80 million pounds) and Wan-Bissaka (50 million pounds).

And now, they've turned on them.

Southampton look a very nice team going forward. Some defensive frailties, but I like how they play.

The Broja lad from Chelsea looks good.

That was a crazy game, way too open for my liking from a Spurs perspective. Could have gone either way, but Southampton were probably good value for it.

They turned on Maguire a long time ago, to be honest. The penny dropped pretty quickly about how crap he is.

As for Wan-Bissaka, I think there's still a good player there. A bad run of form plus playing for a deeply dysfunctional team like United has done a number on his confidence.

CB is England's weakest position. The reason for England's better defensive record in Euro 2020 was mostly about the tandem of Rice and Phillips and their excellent ball retention. To be fair, Maguire plays a lot better for country than he does for club, but is still a bang average defender even then.

Tbf, a lot of criticism on Southgate, but he really has to play 7 defensive players, because they're ****.

The latest report is the majority of players are pushing for Pochettino to be the next manager.

Manchester United fans should be very concerned about the power of these players, especially when you consider how badly they've played this season, under two managers now.

It's clearly the players and once again Mourinho was right. Mourinho has been their best manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Mourinho worked miracles with that squad and he was dragged for saying Luke Shaw is not that great of a left back which he was right about.

The players have been running the show at United for a while. I remember Chelsea having this problem as well when Terry, Drogba and Lampard were around and they started sacking managers left right and center. The problem was not so much the management (although some of the hires turned out bad tactically as well)but the players ran the show. Signing Ronaldo other than PR purposes was a bad move to be honest, I just never saw how he fit into that team and the problems I was saying above will be amplified now that Ronaldo is there. I'm actually a big fan of Ronaldo's game as well but I just thought it wasn't the right move for united.

They have problems at that club that have slowly been exposed as each season passes by.

Player power is beyond a joke. It doesn't matter which "messiah" some teams have come in they'll lose because of the players not because of the manager.

Why wouldn't the players have that kind of leverage?

Team has huge financial ties to the players, way more than the manager.

You can argue it shouldn't be like that but if disaffected players demand to be transferred out of the club, it's a big problem.

Football is traditionally about the game, it's becoming about the players.

With the money involved, it's inevitable that players gain more influence.

Though are all the clubs letting managers decide on transfers?

So Oliver doesn't know the rules.
Advantage on a throw in isn't allowed.

So typical it happens against Arsenal.
But anyway, happy we won.

Didn't watch the game but Ronny scored a pretty sweet goal yesterday. Bruno's was nice too.

Legendary win. Now I hope Liverpool can win the league.

**** off plastics.

That's how you bounce back from a poor run of form. Kane with one of his best ever performances.

caught the second half of City-Spurs while at work. Wow, what a game, reminds you why this is by far the best team sport in the world. But maybe I am just exited City lost haha. If Liverpool wins and catches up with games played, its just 3 points separating them, and certain person said this race is already over.

Too bad commentators spoiled other results, could have watched some replays, have 2 days off now, woo.
