FWIW I would've been fine moving Yurtz but only if it netted us something of value in return, not PJ Washington.

Some of you guys are all too eager to screw up this franchise.

We can sign Caleb, a buyout or street free agent, and a two way. Let’s get to work

Too late to add a 2 way.

In past seasons, January 15 was also the deadline for a team to sign a player to a two-way contract, but there's no deadline for those deals this year. However, on January 20, all players on two-way contracts will have their minimum salaries for the season become fully guaranteed.

The outcome of this deadline was the best possible for Miami... A super team was broken down into two very good teams. The only team I was worry about was Brooklyn and full strength with Durant-Harden-Kyrie

Its not like the Heat werent on the phones trying to make improvements. There are obvious deficiencies on this roster, they just were unsuccessful in finding a deal.

I'm ok with no moves, think we have the pieces internally to make things work. We've had something of a cluster**** season ourselves yet we're top of the East with no palpable acrimony in the team. On the contratry, the team feels uplifted for having survived the ordeal. Our roster has enough depth and flexibility to play both big and small, it's up to Spo to use it. I say this even expecting nothing from the corpses of Morris and Oladipo.

Story time.

Did Yurtz have assurance from the Heat that he would not be traded?

Yurtz made an IG post about 2 hours before the deadline, "All smiles" with a logo of the Miami HEAT

Spoiler:

The post had responses from UD and Max Strus.

Before that, Yurtz recently talked about playing alongside Bam, which many fake Heat fans mocked.

But we all know why the Godfather signed Yurtz.

This. Those teams don’t scare me. Embiid will get the ball less. Harden wanted out because he wanted the ball more.

Simmons in Brooklyn? No need to guard the 3…

This is why I don't post much here, anymore.

We get Victor Oladipo back extremely soon, got the ability to sign Caleb Martin to a real contract, can sign another two way contract, and have the opportunity to enter the buyout market all while staying under the tax.

We're currently first in the conference and have amazing chemistry as a team. We have strong depth, fantastic high end talent, and insane versatility.

We could go into the playoffs looking like this:

Pg: Lowry / Vincent
Sg: Oladipo / Herro
Sf: Butler / Strus / Robinson
Pf: Tucker / Martin / Morris / Haslem
Cc: Adebayo / Dedmon / Yurtseven

That's disgusting depth. If Oladipo has his athleticism and a somewhat passable shooting touch the league better be on notice, because nothing that happened today is going to keep us from tearing up the East...

Y’all listen to this wise veteran. He’s been around a while. 8-)

The Heat accomplished the only thing we know for certain they wanted to accomplish.

They controlled the salary, and put the team in position to have ammo to add talent.

Meanwhile, one the largest collections of talent was broken up.

We all might not agree that retaining depth was the correct play, but it is an actual strategy. The league has been rocked COVID this year, retaining possibly the best depth in the NBA is a strategy that makes some sense considering the landscape of the NBA.

I personally am stoked with Martin getting secured for multiple seasons, he has shown the ability to just swallow up smaller ball handlers.

Oladipo in the starting lineup doesn’t provide enough spacing Imo. I think Spo will stick with Cluncan and just bench him after playing him minimal minutes in the first and third quarters like he has been.
