We really needed a trade for a legit big. For those watched the Kings game how can you say we should stick with who we have? They just brought in three new guys and beat us without this chemistry bs everyone loves so much and next season they'll be even better along with having a better pick. Next season the Pells will be better.

I don't believe Towns and DLo are best friends outside of just being business associates. Trading DLo would have been great for us. DLo is a giveth and taketh away type of player, last nights game he had way too many bad plays when all we needed was a layup, just like what Fox did at the end of the game.

Well I'm glad we didn't make a bad trade, but disappointed we didn't at least create enough room under the tax to sign a vet minimum big, which should have been doable for a 2nd round pick. Do we have any options other than salary giveback on a buyout, which I dont really see as viable? Is the stretch provision usable in season? One injury to Towns and we are up a creek without a paddle, since going into the tax will cost papa glen his 10 mil cut of the pie plus whatever tax he pays plus start the clock on the repeater tax.

If the salary sites are right and we started the season only 900k under, we are even going to have to watch how many games our 2 ways play.

I think the Wolves are far enough into the season that they can sign someone now for vet minimum and the salary counted will keep them below lux tax

minimum is counted for $1.7 mil, and getting close to 2/3 of season played

be interesting if a Pat Bev extension will be announced in near future

both sides have been reported interested in doing one, so I figured the hang up was having trade flexibility if something unexpected came up

The player everybody loves to hate when he's on the other team, but loves when he's on our team. :D

and give up my money and wolves tickets. Common man, the world is full of beautiful young women, they don’t all have to work for me, and if they did then I might cave.

Once the little head starts thinking for the big head all that goes out the window.
Beautiful young women have a way of being incredibly persuasive.

I had a friend who went back to college and before he left on his first day his wife joked "don't get anyone pregnant".
He was like, wtf. He came home and said, "you weren't kidding" lol.
A college campus full of 18-22 year old women in the august heat is quite a shock for an old fart.

I don't envy the unnecessary attention beautiful women have to deal with.
There are biological instincts you can't really completely turn off, you can only tone them down and behave yourself like a civilized human being. A smart man doesn't allow himself to be put into that situation in the first place.
Because if you cheat, you either lack character or you really weren't committed to the relationship.

Beasley for Derrick White.

That wasn’t on the table. Unless you think Malik Beasley is the equivalent of Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford and a 1st Round Pick (which he’s not).

Don’t forget about the (top one protected!) pick swap in 2028, as part of that package!

Outside of dunking he's shown himself to be a bonehead. I'd even say Layman can do everything he does but better.

His insanely high foul-drawing rate and solid rebounding makes him one intriguing enough to consider locking up, especially for the four year controlled minimum.

The Porzingis trade is a head scratcher. Not that they moved him, but that they took on the Bertans contract, yuck. That trade is paying to get rid of someone . My how his star has fallen.

If could just stay healthy he might be something. But if he could just stay healthy they wouldn’t have traded him.

I know he has trouble staying on the court, but when he plays he's very good. I don't get it.

Lol. Then I send her to therapy for some serious issues and I make sure the therapist is hot. Again, my zipper is my business after hours and far away from my employees.

Honestly I bet you'd cave. :o :o

This season he's been fairly bad, at least with what they want from him.

Can't have a floor spacer shooting under 30% from 3. Not that Bertans is doing a whole lot better, but both he and Dinwiddie are on smaller contracts which should make them easier to move. And if both of those guys return to form a little then the Mavs should be a more balanced team.

Of course. But still seems very bizarre for Dallas. The moves for the western conference teams have been interesting to say the least.

Portland is the most confusing for me. I just don’t get what they plan to put around Dame as part of their “regroup.” Trading NAW for Ingles especially surprised me. Ingles says he wants to go back to the Jazz and NAW was a solid piece to trade for just a salary dump. Truly bizarre.

I still cannot fathom Gupta being so bad at his job that he refused to make any moves. JMAC, Beasley, MCD, Prince, and Reid have been so up and down this season you never know which of them will save or sink you a given night. Take Beasley for example, saved us 2/8 and sunk us on 2/9. I get making MCD off limits (I agree 100%) but everyone else on that list and on the bench behind them (except Nowell,) should have been fair game. Between them and the picks we should have been able to upgrade our backup C and either get a starting level big or at least a rotation worthy backup PF in case of injuries. We literally wasted the season and I cannot even come up with a devils advocate argument to justify it.

This team cannot win a playoff series as constructed. Hell, I am not even sure they can win a play in game. The whole defense is built around hustle and half the team including 4 of our 5 starters are battling chronic leg injuries. Ant has jumpers knee, Bev ankle and groin issues, Dlo shin issues, and V8 a sprain of the mid foot and god knows what else. Prince has a bad ankle, Reid a bad knee, JO a bad quad, Nowell a chronic case of Finch hating him, and Beasley a chronic case of bipolar shooting. We are held together by duct tape and baling wire, so of course this is the time to hold firm and make zero trades for fresh legs or real size. FFS this is a franchise that has made the playoffs twice in 18 years and this **** is the reason why.
