The SEGABABA on the road is tough enough, but playing with fewer players available makes for an extra challenge. Next man up is not new to us, and those who played less last night will need to step up. Getting an early jump again will be crucial for us to use our energy reserves to stay ahead rather than chase. Start strong on stingy, smart D, protect the ball, paint, and arc, and push D to O transition for good to great baskets and we position ourselves well for a good result.

Keldon exposed on D early even though BI is hard to stop. Just too much space on the 3 and then gave up on the close on contest on the baseline J.

Yeah they're missing a lot but also getting after a lot of the momentum building hustle plays for putbacks. Two early fouls on Jakob isn't ideal with Zach and Keita out.

We'll have to bring up the energy with the reserves.

Uuuuugh end of Q BBIQ strikes to burn us AGAIN.

Doug shoots and misses a 3 with too much time on the clock and they get a chance to get an end of Q runner 2.

Primo with 3 fouls and Jakob with 2 fouls suboptimal.

Despite the bobbled ball, Good Lonnie has come to play. Let's keep it that way!

Cacok and Primo chemistry is apparent. Smart of Pop to play them together.

Keldon (3 points) and Devin (0) have to get their O going.

We're fouling an awful lot which is putting them to the FT line and disrupting our rhythm.

Let's get at them to get to the FT line, and rebound better. More physicality, closer closeouts, stronger drives at them.

Now they're pounding it in on the low left block for post ups. They're getting deep positioning on our bigs. We have to try to find a way to front or sneak in to double them.

We're one and done on the O the last several possessions so we have to get moving and driving at them more.

2ND Q: SPURS 59

We've won another Q and it's thanks to our 3s falling.

They're getting after the hustle 50/50 balls and driving at us down the middle which is exactly where we don't want them to.

Ony Jakob and Devin have gotten to the FT line from the starters, and only Jock and Tre have done as well from the bench. We NEED to get at them on drives.

They've already got Keldon and Primo for 3 fouls each and Jakob for 2 - thankfully he didn't pick up another one in the first half.

Tre is only 0-1 at the half in 10 minutes of play. Needs to attack more.

Jock has played well on O for us giving us a 10-point bench spark, joining Doug as the two Spurs in double figures. Jakob is doing great work on blocks (we have 4) and contests, but is missing those pop-a-shots in the key.

We're taking way too many not smart, too early in the clock one and done shots. Maybe to conserve energy, but then again what's Lonnie's excuse? He played 13 minutes last night. **** three one and done shots because he got a dunk in transition and hit a couple of contested Js? He falls for the temptation to take a shot out of our system EVERY TIME. EVERY GAME.

We are protecting the ball well with only 2 TOs - keep it up.

Good to great baskets, rebounds, protect our key and paint, and drive drive drive at them!

It's actually less that he takes them, it's more that he took two in a row EARLY in the clock in ONE and DONE situations. He makes a couple of baskets and then goes AWOL mode out of our system over and over again. **** brain dead. It can't be fatigue - he only played 13 minutes, so it's just more of the same in terms of dumb decisions that ignore good to great, ignore team mates, tunnel vision woohoo!

We're driving more even as we're missing bunnies from not using the glass to angle it.

Feels like we're in the midst of an energy lull we have to get through until the second gear kicks in.
