Here's hoping the Bucks can pull off a comeback, it will have been a perfect tank game if they can...

Such a bummer the team lost Little too. He would be a blast with this crew.

That's a dangerous play by Bobby Portis right there. I'm just glad Nurk was able to get his legs out from under him as he was falling.

I can't believe Billups has made CJ16 into.. a player you don't.. worry about every time he touches the ball. I mean that's also good on the kid but.. you gotta give Billups credit for how he's developing the youngsters.

addition by subtraction? One of the best passing games maybe I have ever seen from Blazers in a decade? the assist distribution is AWESOME, I am having so much fun watching these guys the TRADES IMO were great because ISO FRIGGIN BALL "for now" is history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oops

BTW I did not think we'd win this either, but these guys are playin hard, havin fun, and kickin ass. Gotta give Chauncy a lot of credit as well IMO, he''s teaching these guys and they are totally buying in! Stotts who? LOL

Hart has shown more in like 3 games than RoCo or Nance ever did. This kid is all we have wanted at SF, lets just pretend he is 6'8.

I don't so much know that they're trying harder but this is just a team of athletes and players who don't really know any better.

Kind of a dangerous combo for a team that wants to tank... You have two really good playmakers and scorers at the 1 and 5 with Ant and Nurk... then you have two younger vets with chips on their shoulders with Hart and Winslow, both of whom actually aren't terrible playmakers, then you guys have a bunch of young athletic rookies/2nd-year guys who are just excited to be in the NBA with Elleby, Brown, and Watford. Add onto that it's a team with no expectations, then you take away the pressure to produce wins that can weigh a team down. Outside of injuries, the Blazers may be looking at an accidental play-in team...

Nurks gotta love Winslow the way he gets him passes in such great positions

This is the best Nurk has looked since his leg injury. He’s been great. You can get away with him not being athletic if 1-4 is super athletic.

Stop. CJ is the better player.

But then you look at the contract, and for the money...

Yeah, no one really thought Hart was a better player than CJ and he's still not.

Hart is a more well-rounded player however (funny how much difference 3" will make...) and yeah, the contract difference makes for a lot more roster flexibility.

This may not be as talented of a team as it started out with, but being younger, more athletic and more balanced has arguably made it a better team.

Ok even if indeed cj is better than hart i think it’s a closer competition than we marked it a week ago when the trade went down. How much closer i don’t know but 7 ppg in scoring differential can certainly be mitigated by added defensive presence and as such I think in time hart has a chance to prove he’s the better player between the two

While missing the playoffs and retaining that lottery pick is the only acceptable outcome for this year ... and while the victory GLB is otherwise a fine tradition ... please add a loss GLB in acknowledgement of the benefit of keeping the pick and having it be as good a pick as possible. Thank you.

While I like that idea, B-C is already a trooper for still doing this much.

Portland is going to be an interesting team going down the stretch for they are unknown factor
this late in the season for Portland is now without Dame/CJ playing iso ball.

It's indeed amazing to see CJ Eleby who so many (myself included) was not an NBA player
suddenly looking like he has a place in the league. Portland has added two two jack of all
trades players in Winslow and Hart with Winslow playing a bit like Ruben Patterson who
on the court was a solid player in the Jail Blazer era. He's got to stay healthy.

Portland will likely sneak up on some teams who think they were tanking for in they have a bit
of a bench in McLemore, Watford, DSJ but eventually, teams will adjust to them for Simons
and Nurk have to be playing at a high level for them to win. It does look like coach Billips has
a team closer to what he wants. It might be interesting to see if Portland hangs around the
9-10 spots in the conference if they might want to add a bigger body in the buyout market

Thing is, CJ really has one skill--scoring with the ball in his hands, and he wasn't actually all that elite at that. There are probably a few reasons the current team is likely playing above their heads, but it's amazing what can happen when you take the ball out of the hands of the person who holds the ball the longest and distribute it to the rest of the team. It can totally change the complexion of the team...

why would you think he wouldn't be? He looks like a Chauncy player to the core and he's on a really good contract, barring a trade for a star type player he's going nowhere

Last time the Blazers had all five starters with at least 4 assists was on 11/13/2003 vs Kings. Starters were Stoudamire, Wells, Randolph, Wallace and Davis.

I think Elleby + Watford are guys you bring back on Vet Min deals for sure. I dont want either playing top-8 rotation type minutes, but they are great end of bench guys.

Ben likely goes to a contender looking for a shooter IMO, but I would bring him back on the BAE if he is willing. DSJ just doesnt do it for me though. I would prefer a backup PG who plays with more pace and control.
