Living in an area that is stuck getting Philly network stations, I am kind of amazed how much they're still ripping Ben Simmons. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it.

Best of luck.

Lol welcome to the Harden experience.

Fat, out of shape, and chokes at the end of games.

Enjoy the honeymoon while it lasts.

Soon you'll be paying him 200 million.

And we have their pick in 2027 when he’s 37 which can turn into a Top 10 pick before then…

Not sure why these dudes are coming in here embarrassing themselves like this.

It's kinda funny that they aren't over him now with Harden there.

Ben coming back to Philly if it ever happens will be like nothing you've ever seen in an nba arena.

We’ve seen Vince return to Toronto and Kyrie return to Boston.

Not our first rodeo with this stuff.

Embarrassing would be not realizing that the 2027 pick is protected so if it were inside the Top 10 it's likely staying with the Sixers. :nonono:

29/16/10. Damn fine honeymoon! Oh and he just set the NBA record for 25+ pts and 10+ assists in first two games for a new team. Glorious!

::EDIT::

When I said Best of Luck in my first post, I really did mean it. I hope it works out for the Nets, every fan base should be allowed to enjoy seeing their team play in its full capacity.

Here's a question, are the Nets seriously going to extend Kyrie? Seems like they have to if they want to reach their potential. If they do extend Kyrie would you rather have 200 mil Kyrie or 200 mil Harden? Or would Nets maybe try for Beal at $250 mil? I might be happier with Beal than Harden, but the former I'm definitely happier with Harden.

::EDIT:: Clarify, if meds all check out for Beal then I'd be happier with his deal.

I mean, it seems like you've come over here to spit on us and denigrate us. I've been fairly gracious about this whole thing with 76ers fans because i have no ill will towards Harden or your team, but come on. That best of luck was backhanded as hell especially after you came over here to trash Ben when there is a whole thread on your forum dedicated to 76ers fans behaving like his angry exes.

Harden is playing great for you guys. Great. You love to see it. He looked like this when he came here last year too. You'd better hope that the honeymoon phase lasts longer with you guys than it did here because when Harden is not feeling it, he will do to you what he did to us, just like he has burned bridges with every other star player he was paired with.

Best of luck indeed.

More than likely especially since the vaccine mandate ends next Monday and Kyrie comes back full time.

Based on his age and relationship with KD, it's pretty much a given at this point. I am not happy with Irving but I'm sure if we can make a good playoff run things will change.

Exactly. Hostile environments is where the Nets thrive. We gave Boston a fat L when Kyrie went into Boston and he stomped on their logo.

I'll give you that post was tilted a bit after someone called me embarrassing b/c we of the 2027 pick, but overall I still do want the Nets fans to get to see their team play at full strength.

I think he probably opts into his deal. And we decide next off season.

I would rather have Kyrie on a long term deal. Because Harden has proven he can't stay in shape consistently. Kyrie's antics may be annoying but he always shows up come playoff time.

Beal should have been the Sixers target. But unfortunately he got hurt.

Yes, you are right, he likely does opt in, forgot he had the PO. I am surprised you'd rather have Kyrie long-term tho. He's only found ways to skip half the regular season while cashing dem checks. In fairness to Harden, he has never played in the Playoffs with another superstar who could lessen the pressure and defensive focus he faced on those Houston teams.

Hope both our teams are happy with their long-term moves.

Kyrie is being an idiot. But he didn't chose to skip. He wasn't allowed to play. It won't be a long term problem.

Fair point about Harden. Lets see what he does.

He did choose to skip last year tho, during the whole BLM. I'm curious if he tries another stunt to avoid playing half the regular season.

First of all this $200mil Harden false information needs to stop. He is seeking $270mil over 5 years. That's a different stratosphere that will have him earning over $60mil per in his late 30s. Kyrie is eligible for $235mil over 5.

I think the Nets will present Kyrie with a few contract options. Probably some with varying lengths. They may want his deal to end the same year as KD's. Some offers might be slightly sub-max. I think the right balance is one where the maximum portion that can be inventive based (15%) is structured into incentive bonuses based on games played. It gives Kyrie the opportunity to still earn max money assuming he plays in a certain number of regular season and/or playoff games, and it helps the Nets tax bill if he doesn't.

All that being said, give me the younger, better, always in shape player on a long term deal.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
