I think I am interpreting your statement correctly, and I agree. Just because the guy is a billionaire from Russia, doesn't mean he has anything to do with what's going on. Not a Chelsea fan in the slightest, but I gotta really admire what Brom did here. That showed that above all else, he really cares about the club, and wanted to proactively step aside....should anything possibly happen.

This whole thing in Ukraine is a nightmare....but it's not the first, and it'll hardly be the last (unless this escalates...and then maybe it will be!) in man's BS. There are loads of Russian people being arrested, and huge protests in Russia. People risking alot more than what people risk here in the US, to go tell Putin to stop.

I read that Poland refused to play the Russian team a couple days ago. While I sorta can get that its' the Russian national team, so perhaps there's logic there.....but let's not go punishing people simply because they are Russian. A) they had no part in this. B) Since they had no part, it'll do nothing to stop it.

He is a putin crony which is how he got his money as an oligarch in Putin's world. He isn't doing anything other than protect his interest.

International teams saying they won't play Russia is great however FIFA won't allow that because they are corrupt too and everything is about money. They'll fix it so that teams have to play Russia.

The Russians are the only people who can overthrow Putin and they need pressure putting on them to do it. The Germans said the same during and after WWII. Just hope war crimes are finally punished as war crimes for all those who don't stand against it.

Right now EU has banned Aeroflot from EU airspace while Russia retaliated vs. EU airlines.

So they can't even go to Russia even if they wanted?

I agree with punishing Abramovich because it is very clear he is a Putin supporter who made billions out that but bankrupting regular Russians, destroying Russian footballers who don't make the millions players do in PL isn't the solution. This isn't Germany before WWII,people are demonstrating, alot of Putin critics are rotting away in prison. Isolating people like that with bans, boycott will just make Putin laugh. This isn't the first time they invaded a country. Second time in Ukraine since 2014,2008 in Georgia. Punishing innocent people won't stop a tyrant with top 3 biggest military in the world...

We can disagree. What do you think the SMART sanctions do? They hurt the people not the leaders, same with all sanctions. The people need to get their heads out of their asses and put their own lives at risk to overthrow a dictator that they have allowed to take over their country. It shouldn't be down to Ukrainians or Belorussians dying in the streets to do it. It's the same in the west were Brits need to take down BoJo or where the Americans should have taken down Trump. It's too easy for people to pass the buck, the same as for the environment and climate change.

I understand I'm late to the party, but the "hand-ball penalty" in the Everton vs. Manchester City match was astonishing, to say the least. Again, why is the VAR ref not telling the on-field ref to take a look? As Lampard stated, "It's incompetence at best, if it's not that then someone needs to explain to me what it is."

Everton must be fuming considering the relegation battle ahead. Liverpool feels as if there is a conspiracy. Meanwhile, City takes the points.

Count me as one who is stunned an apology was made. Usually, PGMOL hide behind vague and empty language. What's worse, the VAR ref who made the blatant error goes unpunished.

Pep said someone said to him it was offside.
Weird thing, but hey we all know officiating is very bad.

That handball goal by Middlesbrough against United 3 weeks ago was even more ridiculous. The handball rule in general is a mess, around the world. We are able to rule offside with accuracy of a millimeter thanks to VAR (in many cases there isn´t really an advantage involved for the player), but can´t make a right decision in obvious handball situations, where the player controls the ball with his hand, leading to a goal or a penalty. Just weird.

Abramovich seems to be in a hurry to sell all his UK assets, including some villas and Chelsea FC.

Supposedly asking 3 billion Pounds but turns out Chelsea owes 2 billion Pounds to another company Abramovich controls.

Last year Chelsea wins the UFC but loses 150 million Pounds for the year after taxes.

Seems super overpriced. Their sitting assets seem valued ~780M and they generate ~460M revenue (mostly eaten up by costs) annually based on their Annual Report from last June and the Deloitte Moneyball Index.

Think the 3bn is all of Abramovich's assets including many houses.

All the crap thrown at Leicester in February! I'd like to point out that at this moment we have won 6 points more than EVERY other team in the Premier league in March

As a person who cares about uniforms way too much, Arsenal in home kit but red socks and shorts is one of the best things I have ever seen, my good what a beautiful uniform, wish they wore that all the time.

Kevin with his second goal. Also, Foden is fantastic player, I hate Man City but man do they have talent.
