I'm kinda happy I've tuned out this season man this sounds torturous
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

That being said, it's his own fault this time, since he chose to go to the Lakers despite the fact that they had been the league's biggest dumpster fire for years before he went there. The Buss family's incompetence and dysfunction were well-known and their record spoke for itself. He can't possibly be surprised that it's going this badly. He had to know he was signing up for Jeanie and GM Magic's Lakers, not Jerry Buss and Jerry West's Lakers.
Cant be serious. Poor LeGM.
Why do you and LeBron haters say this as if it's impossible? You say "it's the same narrative every year" as if it isn't literally the case...
Like, are you people ever actually going to address the misfortune Lebron has dealt with in his career are you just going to keep on sarcastically denying reality? It's the same energy as the people in 2018 saying " Oh wow, Lebron needs more help![]()
![]()
" as if the 2018 Cavs didn't actually need more help lmao. Some superstars are blessed with competence FO's and extreme talent throughout their entire career without having to worry about external basketball factors even once. LeBron, Hakeem and KG to name a few didn't have those privileges, so yeah, the narrative will likely be the same every year because for the most part it's been true.
I'm pretty sure I watched Lebron pick his own teams for over 10 yrs now. Name one other superstar outside of KD who has handpicked his own teams like this. And the only reason KD was able to do it was because Lebron did it. So whatever misfortune you want to claim for that first Cavs run has been more than offset by 2 handpicked superteams and failed attempt at a 3rd. So, please.
Lebron's teams have been ivloved in more trades that any superstar in NBA history. That means his front offices are constantly making moves for him way beyond the norm. Miami, Cleveland, and now the Lakers all traded away their futures trying to get Lebron help. I remember the Cavs traded away the entire roster at the trade deadline in 2018. They got left the very next year...again. In 2020 the NBA and the entire sports media strong armed NO into giving up AD specifically and totally for Lebron. Its ridiculous that you would claim misfortune.
Its been a consistent and toxic clownshow surrounding Lebron ever since Kyrie left. Literally every single season. Yet you guys have consistently found a way to blame every single person other than Lebron. Its the coaches, its Westbrook, its JR Smith, its the FO, its AD. But never Lebron. Ok, sure.

That was hilarious: in February 2018 he made the Cavs trade for all the Lakers scrubs...
Then he signed with the Lakers in July....

1. Pretty much everyone in this thread is in consensus that his current predicament is largely his own fault.
2. Picking his own team was the net result of him spending the start of his career on one of the worst ran franchises of all time. Give him Shaq, David Robinson, Kareem and Worthy, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka and see if he needs to leave lol.
3. Miami and Cleveland did no such thing as "trade their future away for Lebron". The only franchise that did anything close to that is the Lakers and it resulted in a championship immediately. And even then, people phrase these things as if it was an act of charity for the poor organisation on behalf of evil Lebron, as if the organisation also didn't want to win a championship and that their relationship isn't symbiotic
4. See this is where the silliness starts. Why'd you act like Lebron's teammates are incapable of being subpar? That every single time they suck it's secretly Lebron's fault? "When Lebron wins he gets most of the credit but when he loses he gets the least blame
You said to me “I will give you scissor seven fine quality animation".
You left then but you put flat mediums which were not good before my scissor seven".
What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt?

Same. I've watched maybe 1 or 2 games, that's it. I had already been waning in tuning in to the RS in the first place tbh over the past few years.

How far you think 2009 Lebron would improve this team?
He may not be the smartest version of Lebron but his all out energy and stamina makes him the best version for this hellhole.

Right now, they’re completely broken and are the worst team in the NBA.

Watching the Lakers is just comedy at this point. It's astounding how terrible they are. I thought their offseason was awful and my expectations were low but my god, they're flat out one of the worst teams in the league. None of them look like they have any interest playing basketball.

Like you I had flipped it off. Jesus this team is bad.
This club had a lot of skeptic in the analytics crowd. Rightly so but still they've been worst team in the league bad recently which is quite surprising.

2009 LeBron's attitude would have made a huge difference on it's own. There would be more team camaraderie and we may actually see some effort out there. doesn't seem like anyone wants to be here right now.

It seems like every game they have 1 qtr where they literally can't do anything right on either end and fall behind 20+. Hallmark of bad teams. Can't put together a 48 minute game.

A better attitude wouldn't magically cure this team's inability to score outside of LeBron and how much their age limits their defensive ability. Their issues go well beyond "effort".

Is this what the mid-2000s Timberwolves looked like? There's no shooting, no size, no defense, no rebounding, no vertical spacing, no IQ, no passing. Probably like 8-10 bottom 50 players in the league on the team. Not a single positive attribute. I can't think of a worse constructed roster in recent memory that wasn't tanking. Even most tanking teams at least have young players who have energy and can run.

Watching the 4th Quarter, lakers look totally dispirited.
I like the comparison to the 05-07 Wolves. Washed up players (Westbrook, Anthony & Spreewell. Disengaged talented players like Cassell and enormous amount of dead weight throughout the roster.

Pelinka is taller than literally 2/3rds of the team. He should sign himself to a 10-day and give them another wing. Couldn't be any worse than his GMing job

Missing the play-in tournament is a real possibility. They're now assured of having to win 2 games in the play-in tournament just to make the post-season
