basketball is an individual sport in the guise of the team.
you can of course use the argument of the team concept but that's rather self explanatory, correct? since basketball is played with 5players then of course "the team" becomes important. it ain't tennis or boxing i agree
but let's be real here,,,there is NO sport more dependent on the individual than in basketball an addition of one player makes all the difference and that is why teams go looking for stars. basketball is a star driven sport. look at these very phx - who were they before cp3, and btw crowder? how did the nets all of a sudden become the defacto team to beat, and how come they're not as sure a thing w/o kyrie....why did lebron go out and recruit all those players @miami and @cavs, and why he failed in his first year @lakers.
and what is it they say,,, "x team has the better chance to win in a close game if it has the best player on the floor"
Still don't see how it's "all cp3". Booker and Ayton weren't nobodies before he joined the Suns.
well, for starters phx - 19/20 = 34wins
with cp3 last year = 51wins and finals
that's just on the floor. not including the intellect/maturity impact of cp3 on how the young players think. the oldest mind on phx 2yrs ago was rubio with 8yrs. ayton plays "smarter" and booker went from "booker vs lavine" to "booker > lavine"
