I can't take the PFN Sim seriously anymore. I just did a 3-round mock where I took every trade with a small trade down. Ended up with 8 of the Top 100 picks, and grabbed 4 extra 2023 4th rounders and a 6th.

Ha, traded down a bunch and basically added so many first rounders in 2023 that I owned 1/3rd of the first round next year.

Just in the hypothetical, what would you give up for Carolina's 1st in 2023? They're probably gonna be bad this season, but so is New Orleans and Atlanta.

I’m in the minority but id certainly be open to trading down from #22 if a ‘23 first is part of the package

We almost have to draft Karlaftis, right? We need a Greek Freak on both the Bucks and the Packers.

The draft simulator I used is probably far from realistic, but . . .
There's a chance that Olave and London will both be available when #22 comes up.
There's a chance that neither of them will be available at #22, but that is a low probability.
If they're both available OR if neither are available, I'd be inclined to trade down, particularly if we would stay in the first round.
There are a ton of 2nd-4th round WRs that might fall to us. Burks, Watson, Pierce, Pickens, Metchie, Austin, Doubs, etc.
I think we can bet that the Packer's list will be different from the consensus of draft pundits; it always is. No telling who they might target.

There are a bunch of 2-4th round TE's; I'd be inclined to only pick one if he fell to us. One of the early-round OG will probably fall to us, if we want him.

Players that kept falling to me in the simulator are: Watson, Likely, Leal, Pitre, Chenal, Jones (Conn. DT), Johnson (BC OG), Butler (TN DT), Ebiketie, Woolon, McCollum, Luketa, Rhyan, Ingram, etc.

Yeah, I was addicted to the simulator.

I consider these to be the biggest possible mistakes the team could make in the draft:
Getting anxious and trading up.
Trading either of our FRP for a FRP next year. We know how short our window is; no sense kicking value down the road.

Slightly lower on the mistake continuum would be drafting a WR with both 22 and 28.

NO! The future is now. Get value now, while Aaron is still elite.

I got 13 guys in the top 97 one time. Plenty of times with 8+. I never took future picks in trade.

I use the PFF one and it seems to be a bit better(harder) with trades.

If you can get a future firsts from a team like the Jets, Giants, Lions....etc then yes that is an easy choice for me. Next year's draft will have more stars and should have 2-3 top ranked QBs which you can either take for yourself (if Rodgers plays more games next offseason or just decides to retire) or you can literally trade and get 3 or 4 firsts for that.

Yeah, no chance they are trading picks in this draft for future picks given Rodgers age and their SB window. I think the organization fully realizes this will be a scorched Earth rebuild when Rodgers retires given all the dead cap money. They will try and land as many guys that will contribute in the next three years that they can in this draft.

If a team is destined to get one of the top 6 picks next year, they probably won't trade it for a 22-28th pick this year.
Our best chance of getting back to the Super Bowl is next year. It does down (by some unknowable amount) as Aaron ages.

Daniel Jeremiah has us taking Olave and Dotson in his latest mock. I saw someone post Dotson's athletic scores, and they weren't very good. We all know Gute loves him some physical specimens. Olave on the other hand would be lovely.

Jax will take oline or pass rush with their first pick and they will want one of the top WRs.
Jets tried to trade multiple 2nd round picks for Tyreek.
All it takes is one team do be enamored by one of these WRs to move up from the 2nd and offer a future first. Happens often. A lot of those teams at the top have a young QB and will want to do whatever is possible to pair them up with the WR they love the most.
