Happy to see PG back and look healthy. That’s the biggest thing.
I’m sure I’ll get flamed for saying this but it would be nice to see the guys come out swinging instead of waiting until they’re down 20. I know they put up the pretty graphic about our record for comebacks and some like to oh and ah about it here. It just doesn’t feel like a good habit to me.
For sure, always better to start off well, but shots also didn't fall, and every team is going to have games where they start off slow, it's unavoidable, even Phoenix has those games. The more important thing is what you do when it happens.
Clippers have consistently shown under Lue that they can adjust to what the opponent throws at them and be resilient even if things start off poorly.
The Jazz are #1 in the NBA in Ortg, so, yea, if your shots are off early they are exactly the kind of team that has a good chance of then putting you behind by double digits.
Of course before PG came back in the Clippers simply did not have the offensive fire power to keep up with a lot of teams early, but they still adjusted well a good amount of times. As more firepower returns we will see fewer early deficits.
