I don't get why we don't just shut him down for the season. Like how is it even possible he plays?

Seems absurd.

I want Nash to replace the Johnson minutes with Griffin and forget about Simmons.

regardless of how it shakes out, have the Nets ever botched their PR worse then this season? Constantly caught with their pants down... from marks saying big3 extensions would definitively be done by training camp to waffling back and forth on kyrie on road games, to saying harden wasnt to be traded right before he is traded to joe harris injuries to bens now.

it is one thing to give little/no information... its one thing to be either flat out wrong (extensions/harden trade) or proven to be lying (Harden trade, maybe ben?)

awful

The extensions were wishful thinking. Harden & Kyrie would have had to leave A LOT of money on the table in order to extend last offseason. They would've needed to be persuaded sacrifice years (Harden & Kyrie) and dollars per year (Kyrie) to resign last year. Given his age, Kyrie could have done a short extension to hit FA again in a couple years. Harden was always going to want his final, bloated golden parachute. I REALLY hope Philly gives it to him.

You know Morey’s gonna give it to him, he loves Harden more than his own wife at this point.

Definitely big news and it changes the dynamic of this team defensively; Imagine getting an all defensive player close to the post season and a top seed has to play that team with two dynamic scorers as well. I still think we have a shot at winning it all.

If there is anyone I trust its Shams.

Ben being back for the Cavs game would be huge.

We just need him to play defense and roll to the rim. Having just one good wing defender would make us 10x better.

I pray to God we don't get the Bucks in the First Round.

Not afraid of them, what scares me is the ref biasness in how they call the fouls. You can argue how the Net offense collapsed but also don't forget how many fouls they called on the Nets for trying to match that physicality. It was pathetic and the media will always be pro Giannis. That's why he gets away with hurting Nets players; he knows he won't get criticized or called for flagrants/fouls. Be afraid of the refs, not the Bucks.

FTR, not expecting a Nets/Bucks series at any point. Narratives in this league play a role to protect certain teams/players.

Its not just the foul calls.

We don't have anybody to guard Giannis. And Jrue is a great defender on Kyrie.

Granted KD had a really bad game. And they have no one to guard him either.

I want Ben as close to 100% when we face them.

I think a Maimi first round series would be a win for us. Boston too.

I agree, but I am not afraid of the Bucks team, the refs love the Bucks because of Giannis and will protect him. We were screwed at the FT line; Nets didn't shoot anywhere near as many FT as them and they called so many bogus fouls on the Nets. They don't talk about this so they can shift the fans perspective and allow them to pretend it never happened and make people like us look like fools. 36 FT TO OUR 16, that's what did us in. You can only do so much creating plays before the refs beat you with the FT game.

Adding a Ben Simmons at 80 to 90% will make the Nets favorites against anybody.

Ben vs the cavs is irrelevant... we need ben for the 2 play in games. because we wont win either without him

You think when Ben drives and draws most of the defence to the bucket there won't be a loose Durant/Kyrie/Curry/Mills hovering alone on the perimeter.
This is why he is one of the NBA's Top 3 point assisters.
When he was at Philly his outside shooters were not of the same caliber so expect even more 3s

I remember last year there was a stat saying that Simmons has assisted more 3-pointers than any player in the NBA since he entered the NBA.

And that's despite Philly having some very inconsistent shooters. Redick and Curry were the only great 3-point shooters they ever had.

So Simmons is already the best in the NBA at assisting 3-pointers, and now that he's surrounded by elite all-time shooters, he'll be the best of all-time.

Even in last year's playoffs Simmons averaged 8.8 assists per game, and that's supposed to be the worst he's ever played :o

Do you have any YouTube ( or some other provider ) videos of complete games. I'm doing some research on Ben these days. If no that's OK, thanks in advance.
