According to the trade chart, you can package #9 & 40 for #16 & 19. What do we think?

It would be hard for me to pull the trigger. Especially if someone like a Cross, Sauce or Stingley was still on the board.

With 16 & 19 you'd likely be looking at guys like Linderbaum, Johnson, Davis, Wyatt. While missing out on a potential stud with the 9th pick.

The problem for me is while a lower pick if it is in time for Linderbaum works... the second pick? not sure I have another player there we can count on and really want for 1st round salary. I think we should keep the 9th and see who is there with a contingency trade plan in place draft day, but what if Cross, Sauce, Thibs, or something wild happens and you luck out?

It's going to be really hard to justify taking a QB when there are so many other good prospects in Rounds 2-3. I think you have to pass.

Willis, Pickett & Ridder could all go in the 1st.

I've said it before but taking any of these guys in the 1st would be a massive reach. Corral, Howell likely go in Round 2.

Yeah I'm not feeling 1st round QB and Ridder might be great but he's getting hype right now.

this one would be amazing: https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-drafts/2022/nfl-spin-zone-2022-randy-gurzi?date=2022-04-16

doubt it happens but this is why you don't pull the trade down button until that pick is on the clock and you know who is still there

If he's the guy, I'll be officially on the fire Pete & John wagon.

My hope is that it's just speculation.

I heard another rumor that they like Bernhard Raimann. That I would be okay with assuming they moved down & picked in the 20's. I like him a lot more as a fit. The only downside is his age (24).

interesting... pretty close to Linderbaum in testing and passes the eye test... could be a nice 2/3rd round pickup

He's the guy I want in Round 3. Assuming he's still available. Cole Strange could be a fallback.

From Albert Breer:
I’ve heard Stingley is in a group of players Seattle likes, along with Cross and Thibodeaux, and his selection would be the first pick higher than 90 that the Seahawks have spent on a corner since John Schneider and Pete Carroll arrived in 2010. New coordinator Clint Hurtt has coached in Carroll’s system the last five years, but before that worked for Vic Fangio. So how the Seahawks value the position could be changing.

I would guess Pete is still Pete and Sauce>Stingley is there due to size if nothing else. But they probably feel he'll be off the board.

if you had to pick one of Stingley or Thib who would you choose?

I love that draft simulator... this was kind of a dream come true. Pickett was an impulse buy with the idea he could be young depth if he doesn't win the competition and because there was a run on LBs i would have preferred to choose and Ojabo was also gone.

9. Ahmad Gardner
CB Cincinnati

40.Kenny Pickett
QB Pittsburgh
SEA

41.Tyler Linderbaum
OC Iowa
SEA

72. Abraham Lucas
OT Washington State

Should the Seahawks draft a Kicker?

hell yeah they should, I'm over Meyers, but I'm more over the 5 mil in salary... getting that back and sending 4 of it to Duane Brown for a year might be necessary

aggregation of first 3 picks for Seahawks mocks

looks like Cross is the the statistical most mocked 1st player we choose. but that list above has a lot of awesome trios in it i'd be stoked for

I'm good with Cross.

The only scenario that I would hate is taking Penning or a QB at 9.

My Ideal List:
1. Ekwonu/Neal/Cross
2. Thibs
3. Sauce or Stingley

Any of those guys at 9 would be great.

If they trade back & take Jordan Davis, Lloyd, or Linderbaum. I'm fine with that too.
