I guess the "fitness test" comments from Nurse before the game weren't a smokescreen after all. Heck, even the ESPN broadcast highlighted a play in the 3rd where GTJ was holding his chest and coughing.

one of the espn people said he was coughing after embiid hit him in the chest. he's been having a lot of these non covid illness days. hope he's doing ok. maybe recovering from flu/pneumonia.

Yes. It’s common for teams to tell players to stay home for practice, make excuses, and save face from a game 1 loss in the playoffs

Damn that sucks, he definitely looked lazy out there so it makes sense now.

Just gotta try to even series up in Toronto if possible.. hard to do for a young team and expect to make minimal mistakes. Hard to see them winning next game but you never know.

Well I was unreasonably hopeful that we were past injuries at this point but this has been one of those years. If we are down Thadand Barnes or have a limited Trent we are no doubt cooked without having a tertiary scorer.

The only way out is to get OG back to his best when he was good for 20 each game.

I would also not be against extending the bench at this point to at least give guys like Flynn or Banton some run. Not sure what Yuta was doing out there but he is not part of the future.

I don’t see Brooks getting the start. It’ll probably be Birch or Boucher.

I was still pretty hopeful about our chances in
Round 1, even beaten up. But that comment has me feeling a lot less optimistic.

I think Siakam is safe on account of being too visible, but I'm kinda worried about Precious and OG for another 3-6 games. Still want them to give it all they got, but I've just got a bad feeling

I think Brooks or Flynn could work, solely for defensively purposes on Maxey....need quick players that can stick to him.

If they can limit Maxey's points to under 10 then it increases the chance of winning pretty drastically in my opinion.

Hasn't carried them enough considered they lost to the Hawks last year in the 2nd round. LOL.
