KD should have tried his hardest to ameliorate his relationship with Harden. I don't care how bad Harden wanted out, they should have tried to alleviate some of his concerns and convince him to say for the last half of the season. It's insane they didn't get one healthy playoff run from the big 3.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a former assistant coach come out and be so publicly confident about beating his former team.

Udoka has been so dismissive of Nash and confident that they can beat us in the press. And more power to him for actually backing it up.

It goes to show what a terrible job Nash has and is doing, and what a grave mistake Marks made in choosing him over the field.

Can you blame him? His team went 26-6 the last 32 games. They have played together all season and built consistency. Where as we have been all over the place between starting off the season with our best winning percentage to going on a 11 game losing streak. KD injured and Ky in and out. The Harden trade, etc.......

It takes time for a team to gel. Ask the Lakers.

We had the time. We lacked the coaching intelligence.

Don’t fall for Nash’s tactics. He gives you every justification for why we shouldn’t win and never any reason to believe why we should.

Does anyone wonder what Tsai thinks of this? Hes paying top dollar for a team that can't even win a single playoff game. Surely he will enforce big changes like Balmer right?

Ben is most effective in transition. Having a PG who knows that we have to break at every chance, especially against a team win elite half court defense, will address one major issue.

What lineup do you put him out there with? Can’t play him with Bruce and Claxton unless you play him as a small ball 5 next to KD.

A healthy Ben Simmons is rich man’s Bruce Brown. I’d swap them in a heart beat. No questions asked.

I respect Brown as a person and am glad that he has improved his game. With that said, what he brings to the table can be replicated by so many other players in the league. Brown has to hustle, otherwise he wouldn’t bring anything else of value to the court.

He’s a RFA. Idk what the cost is to retain him, but I wouldn’t lose any sleep if he walked or we S&T’d him. We should easily be able to replace, if not improve upon, him via free agency or the trade market.

After watching this game its become obvious to me that Kyrie/KD were never serious about winning a Championship.

They just used us to have control over a franchise and to play in NYC.

They never treated this team with the respect it deserved. Kyrie's antics. KD letting Kyrie do his antics, displaying no leadership, and never holding anyone accountable.

They hired Nash to be a figure head and do whatever they wanted to do.

When push came to shove they never performed.

This team is a failure of epic proportions.

Sean Marks should have stayed the course and built though the draft.

I don't want to watch a team built around these guys anymore. Will only lead to further disappointment.

Happening against the Celtics only makes it worse.

If Ben Simmons comes back and forces game 7 will he be regarded as top 10 Nets players of all time. Obviously with more playing time he can get within top 5 in 2-3 years and continue for top 3 within next 6-7 years. Realistically, Simmons can put Brooklyn on a map with his crafty passing and bullying ways to get to the rim. Just needs confidence but Kyrie & Griffin could provide that needed confidence to get to the next level. Feels like Embiid, Harris, Maxey did a number on his mental health but I truly believe he will let bygones be bygones and prove his worth on the court.

Is anyone going to answer? Why can Ben Simmons play in game 4, but he could not play tonight?

How can they be in the right spirit?

Down 2-0, drastically outcoached, just lost 2 games we should have easily won. and nash comes into game 3 with 0 adjustments. im sure in practice, 0 adjustments. why would they been in good spirit. they know they cant win with nash

Nash has made the decision easy.

I think Marks knows he has to fire Nash. If it went 6/7 games then maybe you give Nash another shot.

A sweep is indefensible. He will take the fall.

KD has no leadership.

He should have mended things with Harden a long time ago.

Still I'm not sure that Harden fixes much. We still were going out in the First Round.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SURPRISED?!?

I dont understand why anyone thought KD would be any different just cause we are at home? Like i said before game 2, its not a fluke, its a flaw in KDs game, Ime will keep doing it, Nash will not adjust.

I could not possible have screamed it any louder and it could not be more glaringly obvious that KD struggles MASSIVELY passing out of double teams and pressure. if its not a steal its deflected to where the defense can easily rotate.

The first play of this game should have been some creative action. maybe a back door for a lob to KD. something creative. instead we are just doing a mid baseline post up (the easiest play in basketball to double team) and using KD as the pick and roll ball handler (the second easiest play in basketball to double team).

Why did we continue to let KD run pick and rolls, when it was clear they were going to blitz it every time and it was clear KD struggled to pass out of it without turning it over (not to mention his history of struggling to do that). Why? WHHHYYY?

it is so obviously glaring. it was clear the second we ran into a good coach they were going to see it on film and exploit it.

do you know how hard it is to have your ball handler doubled 30 feet from the hoop and still fail to get open shots? curry should have had like 12 3-point attempts.

We did nothing to adjust and exploit it. 3 games now, 0 adjustments.

KD is not to blame here. you cant ask a guy to do the thing he is worst at and succeed. there is no "figure it out" when your doubled every possesion.

He needs more 5-on-5 practices to clear protocol. being able to play or not is irrelevant. there is a process he most go through before he can return to the floor.
