We need to build around Barnes/OG/GTJr/Precious and add different type of players around them....Package FVV/Siakam for a deal that will bring you a different type of player...If that player is a shot creating wing/Elite level PG/A defensive stopping Big man Im all for the change
We will see in the offseason who becomes available but one thing i worry about is Masai in the past does not make many trades unless its a homerun for him...He mostly stands pat and will keep the same roster with minor tweaks even if people want Said player gone
Siakam is the type of player that can fit well beside just about anyone. He's been handling the rock a lot because we don't use a traditional backup PG, and because he's usually playing with other guys that aren't the greatest creators. As Barnes continues to develop, Pascal can go back to his more typical role of pushing the ball up via fast break, punishing mismatches in the paint, and draining the corner three. Pascal is basically the prototype player the Raptors want to develop, minus perhaps more consistent three-point shooting. We won't be giving him up.
If there's any core player we're moving on from, it has to be FVV. He's a great player, but he doesn't fit the position-less basketball the Raptors want to play going forward.
