They may still be trying to win now because of Lilliard..
Does a package involving FVV + GTJ + future 1st round pick give us a chance?
What do people think? Sharpe is gonna be a star and Canadian, can we consolidate pieces for their pick?
I think all three picks in the 6 to 8 range could be available (Portland, Sacramento, New Orleans). Been a fan of Sharpe for a while, also like Mathurin too, would target either or both.
Trade 1To Sacramento: Vanvleet + 32nd overall pick 2022
To Toronto: Holiday, Harkless, Len, Metu + 7th overall pick 2022 (Sharpe)
Sacramento desperately needs a guy like FVV that can come in and change the culture of the franchise. The Haliburton trade signals a push to make the playoffs next year. Not sure if this is enough to get it done, but aside from the pick they aren't giving up much.
Trade 2To New Orleans: Trent Jr. + future 1st round pick 2023 (lotto protected)
To Toronto: Nance, Temple + 8th overall pick 2022 (Mathurin)
New Orleans could use another big guard that can defend and stretch the floor. They are looking to take the next step. Again aside from the pick they aren't giving up much. Nance can replace some Boucher's production.
Barnes - Banton
Holiday - Sharpe
Anunoby - Mathurin
Siakam - Nance
Achiuwa - Birch Flynn - Brooks- Champagnie - Young
They could go into the 2023 off season with Siakam, Anunoby, Barnes, Achiuwa, Sharpe, Mathurinm, Banton, Champagnie, Brooks and either Birch or Young and create a max spot.
