OK but you're admitting you didn't actually watch the game. You surely don't follow the Sixers either. Doc gave all four centers their shot, including the ancient Paul Millsap and the G-G-Leaguer Charles Bassey. It was a throwaway game anyway.

DeAndre Jordan was not the reason they lost. Actually, they all did OK. The Sixers shot 6-34 from 3-pt. Nothing to do with the centers.

Then people would actually have to watch the games and defend their opinions instead of doing drivebys.

Nah. Nobody sane needs to watch philly games to know Deandre Jordan should not be on an NBA roster. This is year 3(team 4) of him sucking. The Turd just doing the favoritism like he did with Harrell against Jokic. A player shouldn't even be on a roster getting minutes and the numbers says he's not helping but hurting. The point why i bash him isn't this. It's starts with what comea after, he delusionally insists his name starter again on the after game press room. The turd gonna turd.

nah nobody has to actually watch the games to have an opinion ;-)

Paul Reed picks up 5 fouls in 13 minutes. Doc's fault. He should have taken minutes from the best backup center in the NBA Andre Drummond and given them to the 3rd string G-League foul machine.

This is getting dumber and dumberer.

Reed was being overly aggressive, but was the most effective of the bigs Philly threw out....they also would've been better going small and playing zone ala what Lue has done...Doc just doesn't like change, and he'll continue to play DaJ, even when he shouldn't be on a NBA side anymore.

throw away game? They were up 1 at half. It was a very winnable game for them. Doc elected to play with a big. Small ball was working just fine.

They weren't going to win in my opinion, only due to the fact that spo is a way better coach than Doc and I figured Spo will figure out Doc eventually and he did. Doc did the team no favors, the lineup that got the lead in teh first half didn't play together again. So there's that.

Are you STILL tryin to bullsh*it everybody that you actually watched any of the games or know jacksp*it about the Sixers?

Please bro. Take the L and get real with me. You're a good poster. Let's move on together--

B-Ball Paul [as they jokingly refer to him in Philly] is a foul machine. If you think he's overaggressive as a sub, he'll have 3 fouls in the 1st quarter if you start him...

He'll get as many minutes as he can stay on the court for. DJ is a PLACEHOLDER starter.

https://www.si.com/nba/76ers/news/sixers-paul-reed-earns-praise-from-doc-rivers-showing-raptors

Didn't we learn anything from the Hartenstein experiment? More skilled than Zubac but a foul machine. Ty yanked him bigtime in the play-in losses. 8 minutes total? 10? You can't trot 10-15th men out there in the NBA Playoffs for serious minutes.

I do think Doc will give Reed all the minutes he can handle. In Game 1 he yanked PLACEHOLDER starter DJ after only 4 minutes and put Reed in.

Let's watch the games and debate. Let's not debate if we haven't?

So where do we think Doc ends up next? Should I get my hopes up for the Lakers or is that just a pipe dream? Would it be too late for the Kings to change their mind about hiring Brown?

Doc will only coach a team with superstars and future hall of famers. Doc will take that team and turn it into a solid failure. That's his resume.

Depends on Harden, I think. Daryl Morey traded Doc's guys [Seth Curry, Andre Drummond] for HIS guy Harden. Harden was a disgrace--he was like Pontius Pilate and washed his hands of the whole thing. Joel and Maxey shot 20+ times each and put it all on the line. Harden went 4-9, 9 assists/4 TO and 4 rebs. 11 points in 43 minutes.

$43M a year. It was like he was never there. Amir Coffey had better nights on his two-way contract.

If Harden doesn't pick up his $47M player option--oh wait--why wouldn't he? Nobody's gonna max his fat drunk sorry tittybar lemon chicken ass now.

Glenn's narcissism jumped out again. Sure, let's just forget that the Sixers were already a perennial playoff team under Brett Brown. In fact, the Process Sixers arguably came closer to a ring with Brown than they ever will with Doc.

This excuse is a rerun of when he blamed "the mess he inherited" from Gary Sacks after blowing the Houston series in 2015. I'd say it's time for Doc to get some new material, but we all know he's incapable of making adjustments.

Doc is going nowhere until his contract is up. Unless his team severely under performs with a healthy squad. He has always been very lucky with timings of his players being injured in the playoff.

Embiid's injury shouldn't be a valid excuse because it was 100% Doc's fault that Embiid got hurt, but we all know it'll still work on the Sixers' owners.

mmmm, i dunno, i could see 76ers moving on from him. easiest person to pin the blame on is the coach in most circumstances.

in this particular case, morey is not a stupid GM and he'll most likely understand he won't have that switchblade matchup versatility with any rosters he constructs if doc is at the helm. so even if doc was doing a good job this season (which is debatable), he'd be capping the championship equity of the roster because of his general inability to make adjustments when called for.

i just don't see the team hiring morey only to say "oh ok well, yeah you're burdened with doc rivers because of $$$" - i mean, they wanna win, and i think he'd be able to convince them to move on if he really wanted to. will he get another year? possible, but who knows.

Doc really talking about no one expecting the 76ers to be where they are is absolutely hilarious. I'd say most had them as second round squads, at the bare min and that is where they went.....and who knows, had Doc not being a **** tier coach and leaving a player made of glass while up 27 with four to go they might've done better than they did.

I, for one, hopes he ends up with the Lakers. Would guarantee they end up missing any deep runs.

You can blame Harden as much as you want, but had Doc not thrown Simmons under the bus, who knows where he'd have been.

Whenever I hear this clown and joke of a person talking, it reminds me that, at some point, Steve Ballmer gave him the keys to our franchise. His arrogance, narcissism, and lying are hard to watch even as a guy who doesn't have a high opinion of him. It's clear he used all of that and some snake oil to get in to that position.

I didn't even see this quote until now:

So Glenn is openly admitting here that he quit on his own team in an elimination game. This is the guy we're told is a great motivator, a leader of men, a true player's coach. What a joke.

"At the end of the game", no need to pull at strings, lol

As long as Doc doesn't say that he came to a bad situation roster wise and laughed when he looked at the contracts on the team, because I can't understand why you would willingly go to a team where you think the roster is laughable twice. I'm waiting for that one, I'll roll on the floor laughing.

Well I wouldn't say that I didn't expect them to be able to get to the second round. It's not like they lost in the ECF or finals or finals. Second round was like the baseline expectation with any coach they could find off the street.

He's not Daryl Morey's guy though so there's a good chance he's on his way out. Not to mention him constantly never showing any type of accountability whatsoever after these playoff series defeats has to be rubbing the front office the wrong way by now.

I mean, I'm honestly at a loss at what Doc does good, or even above average, besides ATOs (sometimes)

He's horrible at managing locker rooms, as we saw first hand with Lob City, then babying Trez but also him throwing Simmons under the bus and giving excuse after excuse. He also benched Gortat for no reason, as Marcin had the streak for the most consecutive games played.

He's horrible at adjustments, as we saw with multiple series leads and third quarters where we got obliterated.

He can't develop talent, with the lone exception being DaJ that comes to mind. Someone like Thornwell could've developed similar to Mann now, but Doc just didn't like him. The fact he also chose both Douglas-Roberts and Cunningham over Jingles shows his lack of scouting.

I'm not even going to get into his non hoops related bs either, but what does he do above average.
