what's the worst that can happen? we already have experience as fans on 19-win teams.

19 win teams are honestly easier to stomach than teams who you expect to win it all and they choke.

Need a talent upgrade at the SF/PF

Need someone else who can create off the dribble

The truly elite teams have multiple guys who can at least breakdown a defense

This was Suns best shot. There is Ayton uncertainty and CP3 is getting older

I'd sign and trade Ayton to a team like Tor.

The Suns can't overreact to this game and just let Ayton go. Too valuable on the offensive and defensive end.

Who’s going to want him with that contract and that age besides some dumb team thinking he’s the missing piece for them?

This was an embarrassing collapse therefore a great decision. Don't want to deal with the meltdown.

They don’t need to blow it up. CP sorest said he’s coming back. When you fail like this, the key is adding to your core, not subtracting from it. Keep Paul, Booker, Ayton and maybe Bridges and use the rest of your assets to upgrade one of the forward positions. Playoffs are about matchups, and maybe the Mavs were just a bad matchup.

This was probably a franchise altering loss. Can people really see Sarver go into the tax for a team that got blasted by 50 in a game 7 at home in the 2nd round?

The moment we were considering Sabonis for Ayton before the deadline meant paying the tax was not an option.

I wish Ayton the best with a max contract on a team that can afford him. Maybe he just wants empty stats on a losing team.

Ayton is gone. It will be via S&T - the question is what do the Suns get back, and who are they willing to trade him to.

It was always unlikely to go into the tax but after this performance it’s probably closer to nil now.

I **** hate Sarver for many reasons but this team is not worth the tax.

If y’all had gotten to the finals again like a lot of people thought at the end of the season it would at least beg the question. Now the pressure to go into the tax won’t be there.

Mavs fans have been trolling Suns livestream's and stuff so I can understand why they would do that.

I honestly think Ayton will explode somewhere else, you can't really say he is well utilised on the Suns. Timid or whatever, but he was the key to this series and he had 15 shots or more twice. Saying he wants empty stats on a losing team is implying he's being used well on the Suns, as it is they can probably replace him without too much pain.

Not sure what the avenues to improve are as I'm lazy to look up the Suns cap situation, but if they can get in FA what Payne gave them last season they'll be pretty damn good.

Hopefully they can trade Ayton for that player, and use these other cheaper C options that they found throughout the year to fill in for him (McGee, Biyombo... I guess they traded the young center already).
