Look... I suppose it's inevitable that this kind of exchange goes further & further downhill, but neither you nor I nor Nat nor any of us has much idea at all of what went down.

The trade was good for us in a number of ways -- we shed Bertans' really bad contract, we moved a guy who wasn't working out, we got a chance to see how much of his enormous talent Porzingis can bring to bear in a new environment, & we got a R2 pick that, who knows, may turn out to be the key to the whole deal.

It's bad ethics, period, to label people negatively in this way when you aren't really inside the situation. & that applies equally to bad-mouthing Brad as Nat is doing. There's just no need to pour abuse on Spence, Brad, or anybody.

Teach us how to have good ethics, PIF. I’m begging you.

The bigger Wizards takeaway from the series is that Beal should absolutely, under no circumstances be a member of the team next year.

S&T him or let him walk. He's an older, less athletic version of Booker who was the 3rd best player of a team that scored 27 points in a half in a home Game 7. Who would be getting paid twice as much.

Dallas would have been happy to be rid of Porzingis for anything, addition by subtraction. Same with us for Davis and Spence (though the great Tommy signed them both). Spence has been good for Dallas, of course they are thrilled with the trade. If KP plays 60 games and we make playoffs Ted will also be happy with trade. Both teams can "win" trades and this is a candidate.

I was listening to the Bill Simmons podcast and they were asked to take the top 10 players from Warriors Mavs series series in a back and forth mock draft- IIRC neither picked Dinwiddie.

Still, I guess Dinwiddie just giving fairly mediocre numbers has been enough so far. I'll give Dinwiddie a little bit more credit for game 7 in sealing the Suns fate and giving them virtually hope (he had 21 points at the half, the Suns as a team had 27) but in all likelihood may have won the game if Dinwiddie was as terrible as he was in game 5.

Maybe a team like the Bucks would view Dinwiddie as an upgrade over guys like Grayson Allen and George Hill (although he's getting paid 17 million). And Dinwiddie becomes slightly more important with the injury to Tim Hardaway Jr. Still, I'm not sure how willing Dinwiddie would be to take on the backup point guard role in Washington- similar to how KP may have been unwilling to take a smaller role in Dallas (although if KP was able to do put up 22 ppg in 27 mpg on a 60.6 TS% as he has in Washington- perhaps the Mavs would prefer that)

From a quick glance. Looks like his efficiency stats against the Suns were much better than against the Jazz. Luka being out games 1-3 may have played a role but he shot 36% from the field and 29% from 3 against Utah. His numbers against Phoenix were 45% from the field and 51% from 3.

I still think the Wizards extracted relatively good value for Dinwiddie and Bertans (who likely wasn't even going to play) - although if Dallas ends up making the finals- the Wizards 2nd round pick does get worse.

Does it matter? I thought your pick was based on your regular season record, not your playoff record.

I really got tired of watching Dinwiddie while he was playing here but honestly, I kind of love him dragging the Wiz every chance he gets. I know it fuels Terd or whatever, but I love that gets under Terd's (paper-thin) skin.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I guess.

Personally, I think he's full of it....but that's just me.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I'd say the question of who won that trade will be entirely decided by whom we are able to get w/ the late R2 pick that came our way in the deal, & I'm sure Dat2u agrees with me 100%.
