He gived us nothing in 3 PO series. NOTHING.

It's unbelieveble...Probably it is a players choice and not Kidd one. Anyway it is his fault because he is the HC and screwed the team is bad.

If not mistaken, Powell actually did okay against the Jazz. But yeah, since then it's been quite surreal to watch.

At times it feels like Kidd is too passive, kind of like "we shouldn't be here anyway, let these guys figure it out by themselves"... it's part of his demeanour, but it does make us feel like not everything has been done to spark some life into probably a very tired team.

Jason Kidd points to Naji Marshall as extension candidate

“I think individuals look at the season differently than the team record,” Jason Kidd said. “There are quite a few guys playing for extensions, so the business side kicks in. That puts the organization in a position to evaluate with all the changes.” When bringing up an example of that individual growth, Kidd leaned on Naji Marshall. The 28-year-old is playing out his sixth NBA campaign on the second season of a three-year, $27 million contract signed in July 2024. He is signed through the 2026-27 season, earning $9 million this season and over $9.4 million next season. “Using Naji as an example, he’s doing the right thing, and we have quite a few guys doing that,” Kidd said.

Kidd should worry about other stuff rather than how much someone will get paid. He totally blew it without Luka/Kyrie holding his hand.

But yeah, like we said many times, getting rid of AD was also incredibly important for financial reasons. Mavs won't have easy job navigating the cap but it does give them some flexibility to retain important pieces around Flagg if they decide to.

Well at least this is not april fools joke. Cuban is trying to burn them all now  Maybe he should start by looking in the mirror but at least he confirms what some of us speculated for a long time now.

Mark Cuban admits Jason Kidd did play a role in Luka trade: “J Kidd had coached AD…..That doesn’t justify it for our coach and general manager to stand up and trade our best player.”

Jason Kidd responds to Mark Cuban's comments about Luka Doncic trade

Kidd responded to the latest bit of Mavericks organizational tension, this time concerning his involvement with the Luka Doncic trade.

“When are we going to move on?” Kidd asked a Dallas Morning News reporter during a brief one-on-one interview about 90 minutes before tipoff Tuesday. “We have to move forward. We're focused on the present and the future and we've got an incredible opportunity to build.”

During the podcast, Cuban expressed regret for selling the franchise to the Miriam Adelson and Patrick Dumont families in December 2023 and criticized general manager Nico Harrison’s Feb. 1, 2025, trade of Doncic. Then suddenly, briefly, he injected Kidd into the conversation.

“That doesn’t justify it for our coach and our general manager to stand up and trade our best player.”

Cuban offered no specifics or elaboration, but those three words, “for our coach,” essentially hung Kidd out to dry.

Kidd, on multiple occasions, has said he didn’t learn of the trade until the 11th hour. During the following day’s news conference, Kidd praised Doncic, but emphasized, “When you look at the vision of the team and what Nico wants to build, I truly support that and truly believe the players we’re getting are ones that can help us win a championship.”

To you holding out hope this franchise can rise from the ashes and get to the finals... good luck with that.

Thinking you can just draft some guys sign some guys and with Flagg get to the finals in the foreseeable future... it's not that easy.

Getting out of the Western Conference to the Finals has been extremely difficult for the past 27 years and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Mavs built a really good to great team in the 80's and it flamed out.

Mavs drafted the 3 J's in the 90's which was supposed to be the building block for a championship contender and it flamed out.

Mavericks have been to the finals a total of 3 times in their entire 46 year history. They have had 2 guys in their entire history great enough to get them out of the stacked Western Conference.

The Dallas Mavericks are a joke of a franchise.

I think it is kind of ignorant and delusionall that Kidd thinks just after one year of destroying your franchise and your fanbase to "just" move on. These guys just have no feeling towards fans. That is why I also want Kidd gone. Empathy like a robot

Well stated.

Pathetic response from Kidd.

Kidd is about Kidd.

If what Cuban is saying is true and it probably is... Kidd is a snake.

The Dallas Mavericks are a disfunctional mess of a franchise.

You don't need to even guess if it's true. Doncic's dad already hinted for our media Kidd was on it. And Kidd is the only person on the sidelines who Luka constantly ignores.

On top of the fact that Kidd now missed playoffs 2 years in a row. He should be gone and let Mavs franchise start completely fresh with Coop and a new coach.

Harrison is out.

Now it's Kidd, Finley and Dumont turn. Come on.

Clean the house.

I really hope that will be the new GM first move.

I supported Jason Kidd as far back to his days at CAL in 1992, purchased his first shoe as an NBA player, but I would like to see him removed.

Mavericks may pull a shocker with their new GM hire

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd is “very interested” in becoming the team’s new general manager, Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated reported this week on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back.” Mannix added that Kidd is “very well-respected” in Dallas and is also “very well-liked by ownership.”
