The offer is Grant for Keon + Bledsoe + Buck '25 pick. Detroit can have until June 15th - otherwise we're going another direction.
All that salary? Bledsoe’s final year is only partially guaranteed for 2 or 3 mil. So he’s essentially expiring and the pistons would get Johnson and whatever that 2025 pick turns out to be.
Not saying that he would still do that deal, but figured you might not have all the information based on your reaction.
FWIW, I still fully expect the Blazers to move 7 for Grant unfortunately. I think it’s a pretty dumb trade considering trading for Grant also means paying his soon to be overpriced extension, but Grant and Dame are close so if Dame wants it, it’ll happen, regardless of any “final offers” fans here want.
I think the Blazers plan this summer is to try and get Grant and Ayton both. 7 pick isn’t really in place for Ayton given the timing of the draft and FA. So I think they’re gonna try and move Grant for 7 (deal agreed to on draft but not completed until after so the Blazers “technically” make the pick), then try and work a double S&T of Ayton for Nurkic and package the Blazers 2023 FRP, a pick swap in 2024 and the Bucks 2025.
That offseason would set this team back 5 years. We should all pray your wrong. It’s a 5 seed with no future, no picks and a traditional non-generational, non shooting, non elite defender C getting paid 12M+ more than he should (As Ayton will demand the MAX)
