What about the face recognition quotient? That’s got to be a real cloud clearing instrument.

I wish the Bucks would stop wasting picks and finally hire a real phrenologist to the staff like we’ve all been clamoring for. The “want to” bump is hard to identify.

I’m all in on Kendall Brown. I doubt he slips to us, but I love this kid.

Exactly the type of player I am hoping we land. Good size, check. Good length, check. Switchable defender, check. Play above the rim, check. Can create a bit, check. Good in transition, check. High upside, check. It would seem like the question is around what does that shooting look like long term.

Seems like lots to like with him.

He looks a little like a modern-game Kirilenko.

I love Terry, and he’s still probably my favorite pick of the guys who are likely to be available at 24; although, I think the likelihood of him being there at 24 is starting to dwindle.

I think he could go top 20, but he also feels like a Memphis pick at 22.

Between his feel for the game, passing, length, athleticism, change of pace off the bounce, defensive promise on-ball, and general off-ball activity on offense and defense, there’s a ton to like with him.

He could develop in a number of directions and still be a really productive player.

Just saw a mock this morning with Pat Baldwin Jr. being taken at pick 43

i was high on him being an option at 24 a few weeks ago, but i'm almost completely out on him at this point.....and it seems like a lot of the league is as well

Kirilenko was such a fun player. Its a shame he played his best years in Utah, where few got to appreciate him. He was the kind of guy that was all arms and energy. If they tracked deflection back then I bet he was off the chart. Sort of a spazzier Shawn Marion. Just a total impact guy on both ends of the court because of his mobility, length, and effort. A Kirilenko in today's era, who could shoot threes at 40% would be insanely valuable.

Kirilenko led a team to a winning record (barely, but still) whose other 4 starters were DeShawn Stevenson, Carlos Arroyo, Matt Harpring, and Greg Ostertag. Incredible talent and totally quit on that team just when he got some help. Needed to be the top dog.

I think Mark Williams could end up being anywhere from Robert Williams to Gobert. Probably doesn't come anywhere close to us, but I would like that pick.

Just have to lower the expectations on him and look at him as a stretch 4. He’s a much better shooter than his college stats indicate. 2nd round seems right to take a flyer on a Duncan Robinson/Bertans prospect. If I’m his camp I’d be focusing on moving off ball and catch points. That’s going to be his bread and butter.

Two of the better fits for us IMO, though I remain very doubtful Jalen falls to us.

My wet dream scenario would be Agbaji falling to the Bucks. While this is far from likely, he's not seen as a 'high ceiling' player due to a lacking off the dribble / creator game, and he's already 22. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him slide, but doubtful he slides out of the top 20.

Honest question from an old man who has lost touch with modern value. What is our most realistic path to jump 4-8 spots up in the draft if there is a prospect there we really like?

Probably deep future picks or taking on salary.

Too true. He's got better hands than Thon (who doesn't) and better effort level and physicality than DJ. I think a better pick than either were at the time, although I punted on evaluating Thon that year (DJ was undraftable to me).

You had me at Vanderbilt lol. I like Minott, I’d be down. Seems like a good kid. Athletic, long, great feet and hands.
Right? Getting a guy like V8 in this draft would be huge.

Just started to scout this draft class ... My notes ( I will edit them while scouting )

1. Blake Wesley - not interested - prefer more NBA ready , he has potential to be good but there are too many things to fix
2. Ryan Rollins ... not interested , bad 3p shooter
3. Jaden Hardy ... not interested , bad shooter
4. Christian Braun .... LIKE ... good 3p shooter, athletic, 40 inch vert ... (similarities with Pat)
