One can shoot wherever while thw other one is known for point blank dunks.

I dont get it.

Yeah I don’t think I get that one either

I also don’t get the Boozer/David West comparisons

What about (healthy) Pistons Blake Griffin?

I dunno... Blake Griffin has more similarities with Josh Smith than Paolo Banchero. LOL

I also don't get the Boozer and West comparison. Those two , while undersized for their position, live in the inside. Paolo, while big actually prefers the outside. The only player recently that comes to mind is Carmelo Anthony for me.

Tobias Harris but with ball skills.

Bigger Miles Bridges perhaps? At least this year's version of him? Just less athletic and more crafty.

Are you sure about that??

Put together, Banchero’s shot profile looks more comparable to midrange marksman DeMar DeRozan than it does to stretch big Bam Adebayo.

While on Duke? Yeah, he prefers the ball outside and works his way in. Although there are times he shows off his low post move.

I dunno if that is his skill set or ots because Duke has M. Williams to crowd underneath the basket but yeah, PB kinda gets the ball outside.

Tobias just never really had much shake in his game or playmaking ability. Scoring wise I can see it a little bit. I remember when Tatum came out some people on here compared him to Tobias as well

TBF, and i said this too all prospects, ive actually stopped posting and believing their heights until they get and actual and official measurement. Lol. So.i dunno.about 2 inches taller... maybe only 1 inch or heck maybe 3 inches taller..

Wait Tobes is only 220? With how slow he looks i wouldve thought he was 235 pr something.

I think he is a combination of a lot of guys in him. I do see the post game of boozer, a perimeter game of Harris or Melo lite, I see a little bit of Jabari Parker defensively and offensively. Don't know if that is a good thing, lol. I just see combinations. A guy who is very versatile.

Jabari Parker is probably the best comp IMO. And Jabari was a consensus #2 in what was considered a loaded draft from 2014. Jabari was a bit more focused on scoring while Paolo focuses more on playmaking.

I do like the Jabari comparison but like you have already stated is more focused on playmaking and Paolo's post game is far better.

Jabari PArker... wow, if only his injuries didn't derail him. What could've been..

Jabari was a 6'9 out of shape Derrick Rose I'm telling you his moves were so advanced. I think if he had just gotten in better shape he could have been a great player.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

I’ve been Team Chet from the Jump, but the more I watch Paolo I think he’s the guy. We won’t draft him, but he’s the guy in this draft.

His shot translating is my biggest concern. Even just watching the awkward wind up shot release in that video makes me wonder how well he will shoot it at the NBA level. His percentages in college don’t paint a great picture either.

I think he’d really struggle here early on. Paolo is going to excel when surrounded by shotmakers that he can create for. Our core, as it is, really isn’t set up for that.

Passing/playmaking is his most valuable skill to me, && I think it overlaps a bit with Franz and would take the ball out of his hands more than I would like. Obviously, if you think he’s going to be far and away the BPA 5 years from now you take him, but I’m not convinced that’s the case. I think Chet is that player, && I think Jabari’s ceiling is equally as high as Paolo’s and is a better fit with our core.

I, && I think the FO as well have him firmly behind Chet/Jabari for those reasons.

He was 40% from 3 on catch and shoots, it was self created 3 that dragged his percentage down, but thats understandable for such a young guy.
I think he will flourish here. One of his biggest strength as a passer was finding cutters..... hello Franz Wagner. We dont need stand still shooters, we need guys who know how to move on the court and Paolo is also a great cutter. Look at Boston offense, they dont have elite shooters, but they have guys who are smart, set screens and move the ball.
Wagner and Banchero will be lethal combo i have no doubts about that. Wagner will handle more in p&r and Banchero will create more in the midrange. Perfect synergy.
Defensively he fits like a glove into Celtics like defense. Big who can stay in front of most players, who is strong enough to survive post ups.
Jabari ceiling seems low to me. Its the same story i heard about Bamba. Low skill players remain low skill players most of the time, unless they are new to basketball. I love Chet but he is not that great in the halfcourt and he limits defensive schemes you can use.

Huh? Most people had Bamba 5/6 because his ceiling was mobile 7 footer that can shoot threes and block shots but there was quite a bit of risk of being too skinny. If anything he was low floor high ceiling, while most people are attributing "high floor, low ceiling" for Jabari which nobody knows with these prospects.
