Re: Head Coach: Who do you want?
I'm intrigued by Vogel, Griffin, Stotts and a few of these young hotshots, like Charles Lee, Chris Quinn and Will Hardy. I'd take Alex Jensen seriously as well.
I get the interest in Johnnie Bryant, especially from a player development perspective, but I think he's the guy you hire if you're a young team that isn't trying to win. He's just unproven as a head coach for a competitive team. Definitely a guy you want on your staff though.

Re: Head Coach: Who do you want?
There are a lot of names of various assistant coaches that I don't know floating around. I wouldn't mind rolling the dice on an 'unknown quantity' as far as head coaching experience is concerned. From the established head coaches, Vogel, Stotts and Borrego aren't terrible but I don't think they'll elevate this team either. So I guess it's a cop out but I don't really have a preference because I don't know much about those who haven't been head coaches before.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

If we could have Stotts as HC and Bryant as HAC, that would be ideal. I think you could pull in Bryant as HAC if you pay him more and Utah has less taxes.
Ingles is cooked.

One of the issues I see is I don't see any of those coaches elevating the team beyond what Snyder was able to do. So I'm inclined to go with a young guy who will probably be with the team through the rebuild when it eventually comes.

Re: Head Coach: Who do you want?
Frankly, you never know.
Sometimes some new dudes without head coaching experience make better their teams:
Phil Jackson made 55-27 his first season
Kerr 67-15
Udoka 51-31 (but finishing really strong the season and PO)
Bird 58-24
Nick Nurse 58-24
I know... we don't have Jordan, Curry, or even Leonard, but the point is not always a HC with a lot of experience is better than one without.

Whoever will make Mitchell ask for a trade quickest.

I don't know if rules would allow it. If they do:
I'd ask TimberTrolls permission to talk with Fincho
If they give that permission, Chris Finch is your man.

Are you team Gobert, or just want to tear it down and rebuild, or?

Both. I think.

Re: Head Coach: Who do you want?
I believe Nathan Peavy deserves a look. He's worked with those who have gone through the G-League. He won NBA G League coach of the year right before the pandemic lost season.
Jason Terry interests me as well. I also think Mahmoud Abdelfattah or Jarrell Christian, both G-League head coaches would be a good way to look. I like coaches that have developmental backgrounds as they have to build trust and relationships to really develop at this level. Plus they are still young in coaching and hungry. Q was hungry when he first came in and has lost that hunger, I think we need someone that hunger as it motivates teams to work hard and try.

Seth Cooper would be another one from the G League that would be a good one to look at. He had great success with the Red Claws before coaching Santa Cruz. Multiple players have moved up to the NBA under him.

Heard you guys are looking at Will Hardy. That is a pretty interesting hire if you make it. Heard nothing but good things about him, despite his youth.

Re: Head Coach: Who do you want?
For me is interesting being a young guy. Jazz don't use to change coach too often. Last 40 years they have had Layden, Sloan, Corbin and Snyder, so if you want to continue the trend, better to have a young guy (altough experienced working before with Spurs and C's)

The guy goes from a video coordinator with the Spurs, to a lead assistant with the Celtics, to a leading candidate for a HC job ahead of guys like Terry Stotts and Frank Vogel in less than 10 years. Seems he's been on a fast-track.
