Re: Tatum VS Luka
Nothing's a done deal, I would rather have Luka than Tatum in the Finals but it's close enough (and none of them have titles) that any of them could finish ahead of the other in their respective careers.

tatum does nothing a guard does the only thing a guard does is chucking 20 shots like kobe. amazing how he is making me dislike kobe with his weird poor fake imitation just like you see all the steph stans chucking up 3s. if he could do what giannis does plus the shooting i will dump luka following but you know thats not happening. tatums problem is his game is not methodical like j brown and runs on instinct. thats where the bloated turnover arises and has an insane turnover rate.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Re: Tatum VS Luka
A young guy being not as good as Luka is not really a fair criticism.

Man,
talking about stats not telling everything.
Tatums line looks decent on paper. Yet he had very little impact on the game today.
He had 4 airballs, maybe 5 and was overmatched against Wiggins.
That is probably another aspect where he is not as good as Doncic. He is no impact player.

There is no doubt that Tatum is an impact player. And airballs are a Luka special.
Problem with Tatum is that he is streaky. He went from cannot miss in the first three quarters to cannot throw it into the ocean in the fourth. And compared to Luka he doesn´t have the bully ball inside game to compensate for a bad shooting night. On paper Tatum´s length and athleticism should lead to a high volume of shots at the rim but he is settling for long 2s.

They’re not even near each other. Luka is miles better. Tatum is soft and his IQ is absolute dog sh*t.

Is Brunson a spot up shooter? Is Dinwidde? A lot of the Mavs players aren't "forced" to be spot up shooters. They were brought in BECAUSE they were 3 and D players.

You win this one.His own fat ass had to drag dead legs up and down the floor missing easy shots and layups. He came alive in the 3rd but it was too late. And this is where Tatum is comfortably ahead. Better off season preparation and conditioning. Can't defend Luka there because it happened exactly the same in the Olympics vs Australia after a long tournament in their very last game.
If Luka gets his conditioning and defense to a next level, he will be nearly unstoppable

Conditioning will be easy. As he grows up, he will take care of his body.
The defense won't happen. Above all, defense is a combination of instincts and willingness.
Luka doesn't have any of the two. Instincts in particular is not something that can be taught. Either you have it either you don't.

Luka has great defensive instincts, he's just slow on the perimeter.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

No he doesn't. He can't avoid a screen to save his life because he never anticipates the movement behind him(instincts). And he lets go even if he beats the screen. A guy with his size should have been able to at least challenge the guard's layup from behind. It's always a free layup because he stops hunting(willingness).
I'm openly disappointed with his D but his offense keeps getting better to a point that he's easily top3 right now. Soon to be at the top. He's better than Jayson that's for sure.

Your point being he deserves to be a starter? Would he start on the Celtics?

He started during the playoff victories without Luka?
