No thanks.

If we are judging prospect on their worst and not projecting what they could become, we could be doing this all wrong. Not sure Giannis was even draftable if you were looking at him for his worst and I say this with not really wanting Kessler that much

High end projection: Jakob Poeltl.
Low end projection: Hasheem Thabeet.

If even your high end projection isn't exactly an ideal fit with the roster, I'm not using one of my only 3 first round picks in the next 6 years on you. I don't get the Kessler hype in general, but it's even weirder that so many mocks have him going to us at #24 simply because of the "drop defense" stuff. Because when has Bud ever trotted out a Center who can't shoot next to Giannis? He had Henson and RoLo launching 3's and our other "backup 5's" over the last 4 years have been Portis, Ersan, Boogie, Ibaka, and Mirotic. Bud just doesn't value strictly rim-running Centers next to Giannis, and never has.

Maybe we saw him shoot lights out in a gym in Fresno.

Jaden Ivey's last game was 9 points on 4/12 shooting with 6 TOs in a loss to St. Peter's, which before this tournament I did not even realize was a school.

And SL is like 2 weeks after the draft. Good stuff.

Sandro gonna dominance (I’m assuming we trade our first after the draft to clear cap space :banghead: )

I'm not sure what to think of Mamu's long term prospects but I'm intrigued that he looks like he's in ridiculously good shape.

Agree to a certain extent, but it's not the bad game that's concerning. It's that he got played off the floor IN COLLEGE. The Bucks window is now. If the Bucks are looking to add a rotational player (hope so!), at least add a player capable of staying on the floor in the biggest game of his college career.

Donte Divencenzo’s last college game 10-15, 5-7 from three, 5 reb, 3 asst., 31 points.

Should have been drafted first overall.

Again, I am not saying this to push for Kessler, but frankly, I care way more about what they think he could become than what he did in any particular game. And that goes for any level really. How projectable are his strengths and how much can you mitigate his weakness and start the eval there in my mind.

It wasn't that many years ago that you didn't even play most bigs until they were in their early to mid 20s. Because it was known a body that size doesn't develop on the same spectrum as a little guy.

Need Little Cleos tiers in the next week.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Damn, everybody is reporting Shaedon Sharpe has been bad in his workouts today. Curious if it’s just lying season or if he’s actually about to slide.

Dalen Terry reminds me of young Jrue

If the draft played out the way spinella had it and I worked for the bucks, I’d probably not make my pick in time.

That would be such a gut punch for me to see probably the 4 guys atop my board all go within the 5 picks before ours.

If there way to get both Terry and Liddell or Eason. I’d be beyond ecstatic.

Trying not to let the fact that it feels very likely the Spurs will take Procida 25th bias my already positive (but limited) view of him, but it's tough.

Also once you get the idea that Braun is a poor man's Jaylen Brown you can not shake it.

How poor are we talking here though?

Because if you remove brown’s off the dribble shot making and ability to routinely get by defenders on the perimeter 1 on 1 with quick burst, what do you have?

Michael Foster seems like he could be the actual good version of Anthony Bennett. There's a bunch of these 6'7-6'10, switchable forward guys that I like in the 2nd round of this draft. Foster, Justin Lewis, Dominick Barlow, Josh Minott, Jaylin Williams, Yannick Nzosa, Diabate. One or more of those guys are going undrafted and it'd be awesome to get one on two-way.

I’d love to hear what someone who really likes Braun sees as his upside.

I really only see a catch and shoot player who could be a good on-ball defender, but I’m worried based off his mediocre free throw shooting, and generally lower volume from three that he won’t actually be an upper tier shooter, and that he may just be a Donte level shooter.

Do you think he has movement shooting or off the dribble shooting upside? Beyond that, do you think he’ll be able to finish at the rim consistently with his limited wingspan and even smaller than Donte hands?

My completely under-eduacated opinion; take Terry or Procida in there first.

Buy or trade for a mid second and try to nab a Payton Watson or Josh Minnot type and find a way to get Vince Williams Jr on a two way contract and see if you might be able to turn him into the next Danny Green type dude.
