Praying Portland isn't in this. Cronin has gotten bent over on every trade so far, I hope you to God he isn't sending the 7 to Utah for Collins unless the 16 comes back. I fear the worst.
I fear worse about Grant and Turner - expiring deals leave a real opportunity for us to have players walkaway for nothing, or walk away being seriously overpaid.

I don’t buy that rumor for 2 seconds. If it was true Utah would have taken it by now

I think if we are going to be part of a 3 team deal with it could look something like this
Capela, Hunter, Bledsoe, #6, and#7 to UTA
Gobert, Winslow, and a 2nd to ATL
Collins to POR
Or
Collins, Capela, #6, and #7 to UTA
Gobert and Bledsoe to ATL
Hunter, okongwu, and 2023 1st to POR

If we're wrong, your OKC trade would be perfect to grab those guys. That or trading down with Charlotte.

I still think Randle and 11 would be the best move for CJs tpe and the 7. Trade for Turner with the 11th pick/ bledsoe and sign Porter or Warren for the mle.

I guess we'll find out over the next week.

I don't know why some of you think we need a SF. Hart played some of his best ball for us in his career. We need up front help Via PF and C. I think we re-sign Ant, S&T Nurk, trade for collins/grant/randle, and then try hard to Sign Ayton.....but if not Ayton then I wouldn't mind bringing Back Whiteside or even bring in Drummond. I loved whiteside. Sure he's not quick laterally, but he can score inside, rebound, and rack up blocks like nobodies businesses... Same with Drummond. I might also look at bringing in holmes, noel, Robinson, turner, or even bringing back plumlee. then we bring in a backup C like bamba, Lopez, bryant, zubac, Mcgee, or dedmon. Bring in a backup PF like Young, prince, or paschall. Then bring in a backup PG like Dunn, Jones, wright, payton, or augustin. I wouldn't mind a lineup of
Dame/Wright, Ant/Keon, Hart/Little, Collins/Young, and Whiteside/Rolo

Yeah I think hart works at sf. Ideally we could Play him at 2 because size kills but i think we won't suffer playing him at the 3 compared to norm or other tweeners or a lesser wing who we add just to have more size (but would be nice to round out the bench with one)

The reason so many of us believe we need a SF is that Hart has been told he will have a guards role. I agree that he's a better more natural SF than we've had but I think he plays 32 minutes at SG a night, AnT plays 16 there and 16 behind Dame keeping us with 2 of those 3 guards on the court at all times. If we move off Dame I think we trade Hart too... that make these Keon trades less of a home run.

If we are moving 7 for a win-now piece like Collins it doesnt make any sense to not dole out the money to Nurkic.

And Hassan burnt his bridges here IMO + isnt a winning player. He should be out of the league next year IMO.

Wood’s price was the lower end of what I would have expected. He sure has his flaws but there’s no doubt he’s a talented player. I’m curious as if we can read anything into other similar players trade value like Grant or Turner.

In a vacuum I think Nurkic and Simons are better bench players where they can take advantage of second units on a more consistent basis. I’m not so sure Nurkic is capable of embracing that role though. On the flip side I think Hart is a better pairing with Dame than Simons but that means we need a legit starting SF. Outside of the possibility of OG I don’t know where we find that guy.

It'll be interesting to see what the kings do if Ivey just refuses to play for the Kings. If that's the case,
they likely would be open to either a win now piece or perhaps a trade down.

Let's say Portland offers up Hart + perhaps the Milwaukee pick (if they had to) to get up to 4 to draft
Keegan Murray. Murray is more mature and ready to play as opposed to the 19-20 year olds the team
has been working out and he'd be under a rookie contract for the next five years as opposed to the guys
like Grant who is about to be paid next summer or these other guys who already have been paid after
their rookie deals.

I assume you mean 7 w/ Hart + MIL25?

I wouldnt bet that much on Murray. I only trade up for one of the Top-3.

So if we're looking at anonuby, I'm only offering Hart, Little, Winslow, our 2 2nds this year, and Covington TPE

If we could get OG & Grant using #7, Milwaukee 1st, Johnson, Bledsoe, & TPE we should do it. I’d even consider including Little depending on the other details.

If thats the offer for OG there isnt a chance TOR moves him.

If we had OG would you accept that offer?

If we cant get OG we should really go after Randle.

Dame
Simons
Little
Randle
Nurk

Would do some damage. Dame Randle pnr would be deadly and randle plays good d when hes trying.

Add a kyle anderson and josh hart off the bnech thats a contender assuming simons is simons

Hornets trade
Plumlee, Oubre, #15 for Turner
*Hornets get their C while moving contracts to open room for Bridges

Knicks trade
Fournier, Walker, Rose, #11 for Brogdan & Oubre
*Knicks trade multiple pieces for their starting PG and a young win

Lakers Trade
Westbrook for Hield, Fournier & Rose
*Lakers move Westbrook for players that fit with Lebron & AD without giving up their picks or THT

Blazers Trade
#7 for #11 & #15
*Blazers get multiple picks to use in trades

Pacers Trade
Brogdan, Turner, Hield for Westbrook, Plumlee, Walker, #7
*Pacers clear 41 mil off their books in 2 years and go into full rebuild with the #6 & #7 pick in the draft. They can agree to a buyout with Westbrook and shoot for another top pick next year with an almost totally clean cap sheet.

Apparently KMJ wants out of Houston, would easily move 36 and TPE for him but I am a huge KMJ guy - think he has great potential to be a bouncy, energetic 3/D guy.

Miles Bridges in a sign and trade sounds good to me.

I would move Bledsoe, Winsloe, 7 for Briges in a second - even with his recent drug pictures.

CHA is a bit of a clown show. Ball and Miles are immature and Gordon is a 'leader by example' type who isnt going to be vocal - that changes here with vets like Dame and Nurk IMO.

Simons for Bridges in a double sign and trade would (not sure how the salaries would work) be awesome.

I worry about character issues with Bridges though. Only an idiot would post pictures of themselves drinking lean.

If we still got Grant or Randle for the 7th and a future first or 2 we would look very nice.

Dame/Dunn/Williams
Hart/Little/Keon
Bridges/Winslow
Grant/Warren/Watford
Nurkic/Eubanks/Kamagate

The defense would be top 10 imo, maybe top 5 with that bench unit. Would need some more scoring in the second group so a TJ Warren with the Mle would be smart.

I'm excited about this draft and all of the possible trades. Looks like there is a decent chance Collins comes to PDX. If Sharpe was still on the board, I would have to rethink it but seeing that the organization wants talent around Dame immediately, then I think the pick is going to be traded. I just hope it is for a quality player like OG or Collins.
