Heard another potential trade on Locked On...

John Collins and Huerter for #4 pick to get Jaden Ivey...would take back Harrison Barnes at the least and maybe need a third team.

I'm intrigued because Ivey does have star potential. Of course we would be worse in the short term but if Ivey improves his shooting we'd have two stars in this scenario.

I don't love Ivey as a project prospect, but that would be a really good trade.

Turning two #19 picks into a top-5 selection? Brilliant!

A lineup of Capela - H barnes - D Hunter - Bogdan Bogdan - Trae with Ivey, Okongwu off the bench.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful move if we could pull that off.

NOTE:
1. I wonder if we'd have to include pick #16.
2. I still suspect Keegan Murray at #4 would be in play for us. He just makes too much sense.

The Sixers are reportedly pursuing a three-team trade involving Matisse Thybulle and the No. 23 pick in the upcoming draft to create space to sign Tucker

Could we trade Gallo to Sixers for Thybulle and they can cut Gallo and get space? If so that sounds like a win!

I do not know whether it is late to start all over again or it is a good moment to take someone on board to help Trae abd the rest of the players to achieve a different level.
Ivey could be that differential player in years to come.

I like Barnes, but I do not like him to play the PF spot all the time. I even prefer Grant to do that.

The rumors around the league is that we are trying to get a second star to help Trae, and that sounds like great plans. We will see who could be available and how much would it cost to get him...

I'm excited and nervous at the same time... Who will break my heart...Woj or Shams????

I'm guessing JC news will happen before the draft, sounds like there will be a 5 team trade lol based on rumors

Can't say the low return for Grant makes me feel good for the Collins impending trade. We just need the one team that feels they can't live w/o Collins on their team.

Grant's low return is a function of his expiring contract and future ask of 4yr/$112. You don't move real assets fir an expiring and then be forced to overpay. If he had agreed to an extension it would have been different.

In Trav we trust. I'm ready for some explosive movements and I'm not talking diarrhea, let us get to it.

It’s also a function of Detroit wanting pure cap space in return for him. Portland had a tpe that was a perfect match and became the only real bidder.

Spurs and Hawks are discussing a blockbuster trade that would send John Collins to San Antoino for Dejounte Murray?

I saw these multiple reports on Facebook.

That's correct, Barnes won't work at the 4 for long periods at a time. Everywhere else he's an asset to have on the court, the locker room, and within the community.

Murry would be a best case senario. Making slaries match is tricky. Might have to add Josh Richardson and OO / JJ to make salaries work or a third team

Trade would likely happen in July, when Spurs have cap space.

Just put this on the Trade board. Let me know what you think

ATL

JC / #16 / future FRPs

Murry

SA

Murry

Bledsoe / #7 / future FRPs from ATL and PORT

PORT

Bledsoe / #7 / future FRP

Collins / #16

I'm thinking that PORT sens a prot FRP that will deliver as a FRP and that the Hawks send two, maybe three prot FRPs all structured to deliver as FRPs

A trade like this should put the Hawks near the top of the East for years to come so the future picks likely mid to high 20's except for the CHAR pick mid teens.

I then look to trade one of Bogy / Heurter for a comparable PF

Trae / Wright / Cooper
Murry / Heurter / FA
Hunter / JJ
Trade / FA
Capela / OO / Dieng

SAS has capspace to take in more salary than they send out.

Murray would be perfecto for us.
- can play PG or SG (even SF).
- can play with another scorer.
- can play with another creator.
- is still young.

I have been wanting Dejounte Murray for 2 years: Proposed 2020 1st (#6 Onyeka) for Murray and #11 - this was before he got extended and blew up to Allstar this past season.

Someone do a pulse check on me if we get Harrison Barnes for Collins and not Ivey or Murray at this point
