I know KD seems insecure but I get the feeling that’s he’s accepted his top 15 atg ranking and unlikeable, villain legacy. I doubt he cares about winning enough to leave nyc for Milwaukee.

Chris Paul, Westbrook, AD, Lillard, etc. have in some way shape or form expressed some level of interest in playing with Giannis. Our getting a rim only improved our standing in the league. With Giannis in the fold, there aren't a lot of teams that offer better situations.

The only person out of that list I feel would legitimately go to Milwaukee to play with Gianni would be Lillard. Everyone else probably "expressed interest" for the Bucks for PR purposes to not appear to be painfully obvious about playing in a more "desirable market."

Yea but it’s all talk til somebody actually does it. It’s lots of stories of lebron, Paul George, Durant etc struggling to get guys to come to their small markets but as soon as they went to Miami, nyc, la, guys flocked to them instantly.

I’m sure they all would love to play with Giannis, it ain’t happening in Milwaukee though. Not on purpose at least. Spurs never got anybody except lma, Kawhi left the best team in the league weeks after winning it all. Superstars hate small markets unless you give them way too much money to turn down.

Even lillard is highly doubtful, if he ever decides to leave Portland(he won’t til they give him a crazy extension), it will be other teams in better locations with just as good opportunities that he would consider first.

The bucks will have opportunities to land superstars with trades but I can’t see any just outright forcing their way here or signing here through free agency. It will have to be Kawhi, George, minny with butler situation and hope they want to stay and win.

We'll see but it seems like it has gone dark on Gobert. Still want him.

Assuming even modest extensions for Pat ($8 mil per) and Bobby ($11 mil per) and filling out the rest of the roster with nothing but rookies, the TPMLE, and vet minimums, you're still looking at a Warriors-esque $150-200 million tax bill. It's just not a realistic possibility.

10% loan against a $2bn franchise. They can cheap out when Giannis retires.

Can they do it? Sure. They could also donate 50% of their worth to the Milwaukee charities. Its just not realistic to think they are going to do it.

Man I wish we had the firepower to get Dejounte Murray. Not the outside shooter we need but the PG we need. If we only had like 2 firsts before 2025 available we might just be able to swing it. Would only make sense if we didn't have to trade away any of our big three obviously

Murray
Jrue
Midds
Bobby
Giannis

Would be a damn fun team to watch

By that I mean, just plain weird.

Not sure how it would be weird if KD wanted to play with Giannis. Giannis and KD would feast

Because a top 20 guy ever deciding he wanted to join the best player alive would be..........weird.

I wonder if trading up for Mark Williams would piss Bobby off.

I just don't think we can afford to have that salary slot committed to that position, especially when it comes at that size and age. I'd rather just take Kessler if I believe in a big changing the complexion of this team and cross my fingers.

Yes.

Which was also really weird.

Kemba set to agree to a buyout, maybe a good target for us?

OKC has to start trading players too, any interest in Dort for future picks?

Walker, Dort, and pick #24 might be a nice way to balance out the roster.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Kemba is unplayable at this stage of his career. There ain’t no juice left there.

Would jump at a chance to get Dort.

Jrue and Dort backcourt would be absurd defensively. Would love it which is exactly why it won’t happen.
