I personally can see the appeal in Dieng .
Don’t really believe we overpaid much but wonder if we still have 34

Rafael Barlowe talked about the fact that he was adjusting to a new country during Covid. There is some reason to be optimistic. I get he concern though.

The Breakers also were dealt the worst hand in the NBL with the only team not playing at home due to having to station themselves in Aus.

He was projected to be selected in the lottery but Dieng is a gamble likely Poku...trading 2 FRPs for him instead of picking someone else in the lottery.

Also Detroit paid a FRP to get Duren and we gave up at least 2 to get Dieng...not good.

I would really want to see the final deal for both though .

If you can overpay position it’s always non center

Why no center here. Missed it by a long shot with the best 2 on the board and none worth having on the roster.

Still tanking for one is my guess.
There might be a center at 34

Chet is our center I guess (at least for now). Presti clearly doesn't want a C that can't shoot or he would have picked Duren.

Let’s give him a chance. I get the concern but he also showed some pretty more impressive stuff.

3 FRPs is what I was willing to give up to Sharpe...not even sure a guy like Johnny Davis is worth it.

Dieng is a mystery. Maybe this ends up being a bad decision. Let’s see the details of the trade. Draft night reactions make fools of everyone.
