I'm just going off of a glance at his stats, and his nbadraft.net capsule, but I love this pick.

Not a versatile player, needs to improve his jump shot over time, but he seems to have everything else in place.

The 'cost' of moving up is what we were willing to pay for the relative talent. Clearly no one stood out worth moving for. I trust Brad.

Looking forward to seeing JD in summer league, like many quick guards it will suit his game a lot, off that performance it will be interesting whether he shows enough beyond the athleticism to warrant a spot.

He brings the ball too slow on his jumper. That will make it harder for him to get his shot off but he is fast and can jump.
