Charlotte gets:
Josh Smith
ATL 1st rd pick

Atlanta gets:
Boris the basket dodger
DJ Augustine

Leading to:
Kemba
Gerald
Maggette
J Smoove
Biz

Then draft Davis with our pick, and maybe a point guard with ATL's pick?

There is no way Atlanta gives up Smith for a crap package. Josh may want a trade, but he's their best player and would command much more than that. Smith PLUS a pick for that?? Come on Brother...

I think this could work. Don't know about salaries because the ESPN trader wants to be a bitch but:

CHA: Josh Smith, Steve Blake, Josh McRoberts

ATL: Chris Kaman, Luke Walton, DJ White, both LAL 1st rounders

LAL: Boris Diaw, Jarrett Jack

NOH: DJ Augustin, Tyrus Thomas

I think that works out for every team. Atlanta gets a true center to pair with Horford (if they resign Kaman in the off-season), two picks, and a young PF. That's more than what we received for Gerald Wallace.

We grab Smith, Blake (who will backup Kemba at a cheap price), and McRoberts to replace White.

Lakers grab a point forward and expiring contract along with a PG.

New Orleans grabs two young talents.

Hey everyone, I come in peace. I am not a huge Bobcat fan but more of a Fan of your GM Cho. After reading what everyone has wrote sounds like you want to get ride of TT. I know on the Suns board there has been some talk about getting him or Diaw. I just wanted to get your input on a few trades.

Char: J. Childress & S. Brown
Suns: Diaw

I know you would be taking back a longer contract in Childress but I do not know your interest in him as he is still in is prime. Its one of the few ways that salaries would work.

Char: Warrick, Lopez, Telfair or Brown
Suns: TT, Mullens

Warrick contract is a year less then TT, Lopez is a free agent after this season and Telfair has a team option after this season or if you want Brown instead he is a free agent after this year. Which would save rought 4.5 mil for next season.

Those are my ideas just curious what you think of them. I will be following Charlotte close though because you guess have a talented GM and I'm curious what he has planned for the team.

Yeah not really that appealing to me.

Maybe Tyrus for Brown and Lopez?

Diaw and Eddie for Childress, Brown, and Morris?

I have been seeing alot about how Diaw will probobly get waived rather than get traded and I dont understand it.

We all know the imperfections to his game/ attitude but i still would think that he would have somewhat of a trade value.

1. maybe the magic will let the trade deadline pass and Dwight will be a free agent after this season. Diaw's expiring contract could help some team clear space to get in the Dwight/ Deron stakes. you would think that Dallas would be interested if they are really planning on trying to get both.

2. also i would think that contending teams might want to take Diaw. you cant count on him every night, but if you had him as a bench player, with his skills, he might be able to win you one game in the playoffs. also, he would be a better fit on a contending teams as they have scorers that he can pass to that the Bobcats dont have and he wouldnt have to shoot, which he doesnt want to do. i would think teams like okc (who need passing) and lal (who need anything) might be interested

3. also, there is not alot of risk. if he is bad, dont play him and then let him go at the end of the year.

In my mind, we should be able to get something for him. I would be willing to take a 2nd round pick for him straight up. i would take a young prospect like Brandon Wright (yes, i know we drafted him, haha). i might also be willing to take a player back with a contract 1-2 years longer than Diaw's if it meant the team rewarded us with a late 1st round pick

I agree. Unless we can get some young players or a draft pick back, I doubt a trade will happen. His salary already comes off the books this year and I doubt a team would trade any assets of theirs for a one year rental.

I still think we should talk to Milwaukee.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6tlc9zj

We grab Jax and Jong-il, Milwaukee gets Landry and Jack, and New Orleans gets Tyrus, DJ, and a pick from Milwaukee (or maybe throw in Sanders or someone instead).

The way I see it, we're swapping DJ for Ilyasova (fair imo) and Jax for Tyrus (cheaper in the long-run). Milwaukee avoids another long contract by getting Landry from NO and Jack can replace Beno as the backup PG. New Orleans grabs two local products and a draft pick to help in the rebuilding effort (or their choice of a Milwaukee prospect if they prefer).

I think it's realistic for all parties imo.

Taking Tyrus and his bad long contract and poor play for our expiring would be no deal. As for the second one no way that package get Morris added into it.

That would be a miracle. No way the Hornets take that.

damn i thought you had some news about fat boris or skinny tyrus.

yesterday from ballwhore on BP...if nothing else it gets people talking

bobcats & lakers in talks...LA trying to use trade exception CHO trying to get third team involved (Orlando) don't know all the specifics yet because he doesn't know either but Gasol, Howard, DJ White, Matt Barnes, Jameer Nelson to name a few mentioned to be invovled..bottom line DJ ends in LA seems Charlotte is said to be trying to do too much so maybe deal won't happen but a straight up trade is what LA is trying to do and DJ is being shopped.

"Charlotte is trying to do too much."

Sounds like Cho is working that board of his hard, trying to squeeze every last bit of value out of a deal. Good for him.

Well if those rumors are true and DJ is going to LA, I guess that means we end up with Nelson? His contract expires next year so it's not a big deal but I'd imagine we're sending out a contract to take one back or we're getting a pick from LA or something.

I'm guessing the straight-up trade is probably DJ for the better of those two draft picks and Cho wants more value than that.

John Hollinger writes today on Insider "Deadline Trades That Should Happen."

He says CHA should trade Boris Diaw to DAL for Lamar Odom and $2 Mln cash.

Says Diaw would help Mavs since he can take shifts at center with Dirk at the 4. Also notes Diaw's "adorable little habit of passing up open layups to kick out to jump shooters won't be as problematic in Dallas as it would in, oh, say, Charlotte."

Notes the cash allows Charlotte to buyout Odom and removes $2 million from the Mavs' salary-cap next summer when they go free-agent shopping. Bobcats pocket whatever they can from Odom's buyout amount for the rest of the season. The only lingering problem would be Dallas wanting a handshake agreement that Odom would go someplace in the East (i.e., New York) once he's bought out and not haunt them in the Western Conference playoffs.

Maggette, Diaw, and Augustin to Portland for Wallace, Camby, and Elliot Williams.

Camby as a mentor for Biz and a more productive expiring, Wallace for Maggette is lateral but obviously Crash had his fans, Portland tries another PG for McMillan to break. Maybe substitute Nolan Smith for Williams for the Duke connection, I dunno.

Speaking of other places, RealGM is the only Bobcats board I post at. I'm assuming I made the best decision?

If that rumor turns out to be true (doubtful), Nelson tutoring Kemba wouldn't be bad at all. Plus his contract expires next year so it's not a financial issue.

I, for one, would love to do a Tyrus/McRoberts switch. McRoberts is out of Mike Brown's rotation and he has a cheap contract. I think DJ & Tyrus for McRoberts and a first would be an ideal two-team trade.

Nah, if we take Wallace's pouty ass back, he can come off the bench and earn his way back into the starting lineup. Besides, that's way too much defense in that starting five.

Kemba - Henderson - Reggie Williams - Biz - Camby at least gives us scoring.

Or Kemba - Henderson - Williams - Wallace - Biz
