Knicks power forward Kenyon Martin cranked up the trash talk following his team's 97-90 overtime loss to the Celtics Sunday afternoon. Martin took issue with some comments by Celtics guard Jason Terry before the game.

“The guy was mouthing off before the game,” Martin told the New York Daily News. “He told me, ‘You’re not dancing at my funeral today.’’’

Martin turned Terry's comments around after the game.

We’re ending it Wednesday,” Martin said, telling his teammates to, “Wear black. Funeral colors.’’

It is now officially playoff basketball.

No it's not. Boston is not a real opponent. I will become playoff basketball in the second round and it will really Heat up in the ECF.

GoodAzzGame_NYK wrote:what was with Jason Terry celebrating like he won game 7 of the ECF? Your down 3-1 bro. I would have been heated if I was a celtics fan.

Did you see pierce? I don't like him but I respect him, he walked off knowning the inevitable.

Terry running around the court like a clown playing up the crowd just because they avoided a sweep???

really bro.....we are coming for you on wed!

Pierce,Garnett and Rivers all know what is gonna happen wednesday....these guys know what it takes to win and they know the Celtics don't have it in this series at all. Rivers ,as a coach, is obviously still trying to motivate his guys , but deep down those three know they can't take this one. Pierce and Garnett have both been low key and respectful towards the Knicks.....you can see it in their quotes....

Weird....I was thinking the team should wear black suits for closeout games from here on out. Cool that KMart was thinking the same.

They should dim the lights and play 50's "Funeral Music" as the intro music for the starting lineups.

Look, the Knicks got Rope-a-doped by Jason Terry ONCE and that cost them a game.

I've never watched a "championship calibur" team THIS sensitive over trash talking. I can see if this was the second coming of Bill Laimbeer or Rick Mahorn taking a charge and then smacking you in the face, scratching your arms and drawing blood but Jason Terry is a fly.

Come Weds, the Knicks BETTER close or Woodson is going to be forced to play...*GASP* Marcus Camby *GASP*

Also, when is this board going to learn to spell caliber properly?

The only time it is "calibur" is when you are talking about the Dreamcast game

I'm confused are these guys Knick fans or fans of their own opinions? Clearly there are no agendas.

Who's being sensitive? KMart treated Terry exactly the way he should be treated - as an annoyance who's about to be brushed off.

Last game was a great learning experience going forward.

A lot of new cats on the roster this year, great to have a clutch OT game round one

Will help down the road I'm sure.

Great to close em out at Mecca, get to see that starting line up video again

Celebrity row, Clyde keeping Breen in check, and MSG replays till the next round

Miami on Vac for a minute....we the talk of the NBA on the East.

Let's set minds to purpose and send injured dogs home with tail between legs.

WOW... :o that's bizarre...but nba refs really call it extremely loose in this type of situations....sometimes guys take 5 steps prior to dunking a ball on the break. Should have been called but whatever....

Something being undervalued is that Shumpert is rounding back into form. That'll be huge as the playoffs roll on.
