Much needed series sweep for the Braves against the Cubs. Our offense is finally beginning to show up, and our pitching staff has continued to be stellar. I have a feeling that we'll look back on those Santana and Harang signings as being very crucial at the end of the season. And I know I've said it many times before, but Julio Teheran is going to be a legitimate ace for the Braves real soon: he's currently 3rd in the majors in ERA.

Nats get swept in Oakland two of the losses we're by a combined 17 runs and the other loss was Soriano blowing his first save of the year.

And now Laroach goes on the DL.

I hate baseball. :(

Dodgers are 3-7 against the Giants....losing each of the 3 series we've played against them this year.

Jose Fernandez to have Tommy John. I don't feel bad for the Marlins being a Braves fan, but I feel awful for Fernandez personally. Hopefully he comes back next season stronger than ever.

I feel bad for the Marlins fans, all 12 of them. I know what it's like to have your promising young stud ace get TJ surgery. It sucks but if anything he'll come back stronger than ever. What really sucks is that they were actually playing good baseball.

Speaking of young studs who got TJ surgery, Stras pitched well last night but got no run support in a loss. Seriously how do you get complete gamed by Branson **** Arroyo? God the Nats offense blows. Yeah we have injuries but that doesn't mean you should get dominated by as many mediocre pitchers as we do.

It seems like being a promising young starter in the NL East is a curse.

So, the Yankees have been terribly inconsistent so far this season, though I was expecting that. The one thing I wasn't counting on was how damn good Tanaka has been. Last night he made the Mets look like... well... a lesser form of the Mets. Absolutely lights out.

The one thing that baffles me is how he's ranks in the bottom 10% of pitchers who locate pitches in the strike zone, but doesn't walk a lot of batters and makes dudes look foolish with his splitter.

Hopefully he keeps it up and becomes the de facto #1 in the rotation.

Julio Franco signed a deal to play with an Independent League team. He's 55 and still wants to play. I can't help but admire the guy, even if it is a cash grab.

Cy Greinke putting in work so far.

Cant wait til Kershaw catches up. We're going to take off.

Grienke has been tremendous so far.

Now Gio Gonzalez is going on the DL. Geezus, we just can't stay healthy this year at all.

Glad to take 2/3 from the Mets though. Gotta get some kinda positive mojo going. Having Wilson Ramos back in the lineup is huge, and looks like Ian Desmond is starting to find his form again.

Talks are that the Nats might put Ryan Zimemrman in LF(probably temporarily until Harps returns). I don't know how that'll work, I mean dude can't even throw from 3B how is he supposed to throw from all the way out there? But we need his bat either way...

Meanwhile, down on the Dodgers farm, catcher Miguel Olivo bit a piece of Alex Guerrero's ear off in a dugout fight.

Masahiro Tanaka lost his first game in his last 42 professional starts last night. That's insane.

Also, there's just something about seeing the Yanks at Wrigley just feels right. Makes me think about what 03 could've been like...

Can't be worse than the Nats. Then again, we're missing Laroach, Zimmerman, and Harper. That's like 250+ RBI out of the lineup. Yet somehow we scored 9 runs against Cueto the other day. I don't get the Nats.

^^^
way to not put the s after RBI.

well, the Miguel Olivo-Alex Guerrero fight is a bit embarrassing. But hey, two in a row for the boys in blue.
I mean....who would have guessed A-Gon would be tied for 2nd in the league in homers...and Puig tied for 5th with 10 of his own.

which leads me to my real point since the Dodgers currently aint ****.
WOW at Tulo. He's clearly juicing....and by clearly juicing i mean, "just kidding he's the MVP so far."
