Billups averaged over 12 million per in the prime of his career.

Lowry means as much to this team as Billups did to his teams.

Their careers are so similar (minus the allstar games & championships, lol).

Not a fan at all of over paying Lowry to keep him. If it has to come to that, then its obvious he doesn't wanna be here.

I do not think thats going to be the situation. He will go to who ever offers him best contract. Raptors can not low ball him to some home team discount. No one going to offer him much more then 12 per season. So if we offer him a fair contract he signs first thing tomorrow morning.

Nah Lowry has too much pride to do that but I wouldn't doubt he gets injured after this contract or doesn't play up to the same level as this year

1) injury prone
2) career season in a contract year

those are 2 major red flags to me.. im not sure how comfortable I am giving him a huge contract even though he was my favourite player this last season.
