I hope this doesn't happen every round.

If a third pick is missed, we will try to replace. He has a little less than six hours I believe, so if you are going to be away when you get on the clock, try and PM your top 3 to Miklo.

I thought about doing that, but upon further thought, it might frustrate people more if that is done because what if someone is taken that the next person was planning on drafting? Especially if the person who was supposed to pick didn't want that person anyway. That could potentially piss two people off.

We will just skip and go to the next one and then when the person shows up, they can make their pick.

Unfortunately, when two people at the end of a draft don't show up like this, it could take 40 hours. If the same people continue not to show up, we may have to replace them. I know JohnWall2 wanted in.

Right now officially Sunzel is on the clock for his second pick and has a little over 4 more hours and then aIvin would be up for his second pick. Perhaps in the future if someone has two picks in a row, they won't have 20 hours, because it is getting a little ridiculous.

Not sure why people signed up if they don't bother at least taking 2 minutes to sign in when they know the draft is underway.

I have PM'd them both and emailed them. Feel free when there is a hold up to email them in the yahoo league, especially if I don't seem to be around. When you go to the league page you can click on Email League and send email to specific team managers.

I agree that the guys who have 2 picks in a row should start with less than 20 hours to make both picks since they don't need an extra 10 hours to decide on their 2nd pick.

That said, the time limit rules we have to keep things running smoothly are : 1 pick missed = time limit reduced to 8 hours going forward, 2 picks missed = 4 hour limit, then no more clock after that. So Sunzel should actually have 8 hours per pick now, and Alvin too (unless he misses another one now, then it'll be 4).

Well next time you're in a similar situation, it would be nice if u could either check the time the last pick was made to confirm what has been said and make your pick, or send a list of picks to somebody before going to sleep.

That way we can get things sorted out instead of having to wait another day. Also prevents you from reducing your time limit to pick

I think Sunzel is good since he checked last night and this morning, but yes, it would be nice to PM people. He was waiting on aIvin and I hadn't officially said he is on the clock.

I'm not sure where the 8 hour and 4 hour thing came because I haven't seen that listed in any thread, so I'm guessing that was a past rule.

Someone who has two picks close together could have had a family emergency or something so I jump the gun, but if it comes back around next time, and a third pick in a row doesn't happen, then we've got to probably replace.

If someone else was to take over the team though, it wouldn't make a ton of sense to let too many picks go by without that team getting their 3rd and 4th round picks, because that team would be at a drastic disadvantage.

When we get to 10 hours from Sunzel's pick, I will see if JohnWall2 wants to make picks on his behalf, and if aIvin doesn't show up by the time his 5th round pick is up, JohnWall2 can have that team.

Again I'm always lurking so you can PM me if you guys need to.
Good idea BW for someone else to take over the team.

You haven't seen it because we haven't ever actually had to apply it, given that in past years everybody always either made their picks on time or sent out a list (except a couple slow downs towards the end of the draft).

It's standard draft rules we've always had, guys who have been around running things longer like Miklo can confirm this.

I'm pretty surprised Love lasted this long. I was going to take him with my last pick until I realized Draymond Green was still available.

I was really hoping knight would fall to me. All the guards I wanted seemed to have went with the last half dozen picks. But I'm still feeling good with a core of Durant gasol and Aldridge

Since my last pick I decided to take whichever of Love/Lopez/Favors are left with my next pick.

So I take Derrick Favors.
