Yes. Landing the guy I wanted all along.
Lamar Odom. Great athleticism, nice versatile offensive game, strong defender at either forward spot. Can pass the rock and score it too. Also a strong defender. Just a terrific bench performer for me. Undecided on the year. We'll see what's affordable. Look for this guy to backup both Barkley and TMAC/Iguodala (who are sorta interchangable at the wing spots).

Andrew Bogut

Good rim protector and passer with low FGA and championship experience. I'll take it.

Alright, got another one of my 1A options to round out my team.
I choose Dan Majerle. Defensive stalwart who also brings strong outside shooting and capable all round scoring to the table. All Star in the 92-93 season.
Could start this guy. Haven't quite decided yet.

I'll round out my team with a great 3&D combo guard in George Hill

Re: Fantasy Draft: 80's To Present (Era Specific) - Draft Thread
Kurt Rambis:
"During his playing days, Rambis was a favorite among the Lakers fans because of his status as an overachieving underdog and ultimate team-player. Known for his defensive and rebounding skills, Rambis also was an efficient clean-up man on offense, with his field goal percentage reaching 59.5 percent at the peak of his career. He was remembered in both Santa Clara and Los Angeles for his all-out effort and willingness to do the "dirty work" that many players do not embrace. "
I'll take a guy like this on any team.

Re: Fantasy Draft: 80's To Present (Era Specific) - Draft Thread
I had to change around some years to make it work but I think he is definitely the type of player who is worth it to get and I can't believe he wasn't selected. I now believe I have 3 players who are top 5 all time at their position and a 4th who is top 10 (McHale). Give me Isiah Thomas...

Re: Fantasy Draft: 80's To Present (Era Specific) - Draft Thread
Originally I had another guy lined up here but I want a player who will actually make an impact rather than a spot player, so I'm going to do a bit of FGA fiddling as well to fit him in. This handsome devil would eventually make his only All-Star Game with KG in Minnesota, but even as a young player he was already establishing himself as a big-game performer for the 2-time champion Houston Rockets. I'll complete my team with:
Sam Cassell
