are you really suprised?

no lotto team had interest and he was projected late first and in some early second. teams he worked out for probably confirmed to him he had alot to work on before they could promise him a draft selection.

the athleticism is great as is the length... but do we know right now that he is any more then say archie goodwin or ben mclemore?

If he was anywhere close McLemore he would have a lotto promise, trust me

Except he's younger than McLemore was when drafted and the top of the 2017 draft is much stronger than 2013's. Quite the stretch when there are about 8 players this year who would have been selected ahead of Oladipo.

I would just take him 14-24 and play him in the d league. If he shows improvement at Kentucky next year he'll probably be top 10. Every team that's rumored to be interested in him needs a high risk high reward type pick.

so if he isnt even at that kind of potential we know why he has no promise.

where is the high reward though? i agree teams interested are looking for a high ceiling boom or bust guy. i just dont see the boom and i dont think those teams did either

McLemore was a lights out shooter, he can't dribble and is really inconsistent, but he is athletic, nimble, quick if Diallo, that has similar traits athletically could shoot like Ben, he would be easily a top10 pick come June.
