This whole thread is silly. Phoenix made Jackson a promise, on the condition that he not work out for other teams. It happens all the time. The screw up is that no one told the Celtics brass about this before they got on the plane. That's the fault of B.J. Armstrong; from all reports there is no love lost between him and Ainge. It doesn't make Jackson a liar or make McDonough into some sort of villain.

But Armstrong did cost his client money, because I'm guessing that Ainge would rather deal with LaVar Ball than Armstrong.

Yeah, closer than you guys will ever be. And it's just starting. I live here in the Phx area. Does anyone actually care about the Suns?

Not Jackson's fault IMO. Totally BJ Armstrong and his beef with Ainge

Good call.

Huh? What happened to Bradley? What happened to Smart? Is he going to play exclusive the backup PG? So he's going to get his minutes cut to the 14mpg that Thomas sits on the bench?

I said wing, not SF.

See it this way:

Last season, Gerald Green played 500 minutes and that was with Bradley missing 27 games and Crowder missing 10 and Rozier being out f the rotation for a while. Without that, perhaps he'd have got 200. How is Tatum going to get more minutes? Maybe Jaylen Brown will get his minutes cut? He'll go from 17mpg to maybe 13?

Crowder and/or Bradley are headed out the door
. The 4 spot is wide open for small ball minutes. He'll start slow and work his way up the rotation. They aren't handing out minutes and allowing bad habits like Minnesota and others of that ilk.

Well, that's another discussion then. As I said, I wouldn't allow my player to work out unless Ainge explained a strategy/scenario. If he told me "we're going this way so moving out those veterans to open minutes for the kids" or something like that, it'd be different.

It's even another discussion relatively to your first reply: Crowder was part of the depth chart now and suddenly he's not on the roster any longer.

The guy is very adept at lying.

Threatens to beat a woman, damages someone else's property, damages another persons property and skips the scene of an accident.

Low questionable character.

That would be fine if that's all it was.

If you're of high character you won't lie in front of the media because it goes against everything you pride yourself on as an individual.

exactly. dude would rather be handed playing time on a 30-win team than have to earn it on a contending team.

oh yeah we won the EC and went to the ECF with a midget. sad that he's better than all your players combined. AND you traded him to us for nothing AAAAHAHAHAHA.

Why are Suns fans even posting here and trying to debate childishly.

Celtics got their guy in Tatum, who I hope becomes the next Pierce, needs players like him in the league. And celtics can use him to score off the bench immediately resting Thomas. And Tatum can fit well next to Brown or whomever they trade or sign in the FA.

Jackson wanted to start and be a key player immediately and he'll get that in Phoenix who desperately need his defense and passing...

Both teams got the players they need. I would be pissed too if I was Ainge, getting up 4am flying several hours only to be snubbed. Had BJ Armstrong notified Ainge that night that the workout was cancelled, Ainge wouldnt be frustrated.

Suns didnt break any rules... they made a promise, Jackson shut down work outs because he wants to go to the Suns.... this happens every draft.
