I take it you have not been on our forum a lot, other wise you would know from the majority of posters here that numbers like points and rebounds (as well as other counting stats) do not matter.

As for offense that’s on coach nurse for not involving him more.

Here's a secret for you, JV's overall defensive stats have been better than Marc this season: viewtopic.php?t=1802716

How exactly has providing no rim protection, help side defense or rebounding solidified our defense? I question if some of you are actually watching the game or listening to the nonsense the media is spewing out.

The media's job is to hype everything so MLSE can puts bums on the seats at Scotiabank Arena and sell more merchandise. I am still laughing about "Linsanity".

Typical Raps board. After game 1 Gasol is a hero, after game 3 he's a worthless bum.

We've played 8 games and Gasol has locked down the opposing center in 7 of them. **** off with this nonsense and go watch the Grizzlies next year instead.

The issue is Lowry not Gasol.

Losing Delon was the only issue with that trade. But even if we had Delon, Nurse wouldn't play him, so I'm not sure it matters.

JV Sucks? Did you watch any of the 19 games he played in Memphis? He was a total beast and set all kinds of new career high records.

Of course Nurse wouldn't have played Delon. Because we didn't need the services of someone who had 3 triple doubles in his games with Memphis. Because we have FVV!!!

JV posted the same numbers in Memphis that he did here. His per game numbers were the same as his per 36 stuff here. His advanced stats remained the same. He just scored more points and grabbed more rebounds because his usage rate went up.

I think we all knew the trade off and that JV was actually very key if we faced the Sixers. Just our luck, we face the Sixers.

Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I love JV but he would be getting killed in pnr all day, just backing up until Butler and Harris put in floaters easily.

Oh I see. So we're making sweeping statements based on 2 games now. In that case, Biyombo should have won DPOY for the 2 games he bullied the Cavs.

The magic do not have dynamic elite scoring wings or pg. The game that matter are the ones we should be paying attention to i.e. against philly, boston, Milwaukee, teams that we need to get through given this team has finals/championship aspirations

Gasol completely shut down Embiid in games 1 and 2.

Embiid had the stomach flu for those 2 games plus a sore knee. He was better by game 3 and he dominated Gasol.

They've played 8 times in their career. Gasol has shut him down 7 of those times. Embiid wasn't injured or sick in all of those matchups.

People acting like Embiid wouldn't body JV like he did to Gasol in game 3. I can't even imagine him defending the PnR too, Butler would have a layup fest on him

Funny how they had Grange at half time explaining why they cut Monroe. You know MLSE told him to talk all that crap about salary cap stuff so that fans wouldn't keep bringing up how we let him go.

Yeah, I was perplexed wondering why Grange was spending so much time talking about moose.

Your being very generous with Vin's money! I agree about Ibaka, let's give it a shot.

Gasold - freudian slip?

HEKTOR wrote:This board is overly emotional. Moderation is needed - important to stay centred and not let the highs get you too high or the lows too low. Delon was leaving anyways while Gasol has given us some quality defense and other things that don't always show up on the stat-sheet. Naturally, when he doesn't play well and we lose, then you guys are quick to bury the guy.
Perhaps it's not too surprising considering how most of the TV pundits do the same - flipping and flopping after one game.
KD scores 50 - he's the best player in the NBA.
KD and warriors lose to Beverly and KD is over-rated, lucky to have Steph and Klay.
Just like this series. We win game 1 - Raps in 5. Now, we lose game 3 and watch these same people claim we won't be able to win another game...

Amen

Nope. Giving Lowry a $100+ deal was our downfall.
