Guys who coulnt buy FT's because they dont flop they love it. Lavine, Rose, Curry must be biggest fans of this changes. Because guys on other side dont get rewarded for flops. And for them nothing changed.

I enjoy watching Harden struggle figuring how to play basketball and trying reverse his muscle memory of what he used to get away with it.

I love the fact that the two guys that Steph Curry has abused year after year, Harden and Lillard, are the ones having so much trouble this year. Meanwhile, Steph is still playing great.

It makes the idea that Harden was robbed of his 2015 MVP or that the Rockets were a Chris Paul injury away from beating the Warriors sound even more absurd.

I love the rule changes and i have harden on my fantasy team!

Watching players try to cheat and hook other players only to turn into turnovers is awesome.

The rules changes are universally loved by fans. I have never seen a rule change like this that has been so slanted in polls, and perception, ever.(favorably)

To me this sends the messege that Dame doesn't care about the fans, or their enjoyment of the game that allows him to make millions, and I don't see any other way to slice it.

I really like Dame as a player, so to hear him say this is disappointing as hell.

What if that's exactly what they're doing?

What if the refs are only calling the fouls that they see and can be considered non-incidental?

The implication of that is profound and enlightening, IMO, because it means the refs were often blowing their whistle based on what they expected was a foul, not what they actually saw. And that plays right in to how easily certain players were able to fool the refs in to giving them a call. How they might favor an aggressive team or any number of subjective reasons.

To "fix" that the NBA would need to add refs or add more replay, and we just saw them cut back on replay; but for now, the onus is on the players to adapt and adjust - or flex their "player empowerment" muscles and demand the games be ref'd some other way.

But does the player's union (meaning > 50% of the players) actually want to go back? There's a lot more players in the league who weren't getting the benefit of the doubt from the refs, than there are those that were.

He's right. Refs are consistently not calling legitimate fouls. I get that people are happy with the way things are now, glad the Harden/Trae foul-baiting has been done away with, but if you're brushing this off, don't complain when your star player gets hacked without a call in key moment.

It was impossible to play defense. Defense meant...not touching the player or impending their movement. So essentially putting your hand in their face so they can’t see the rim...

I think his frustration is more on drives. Most of the rules modified seem to be focused more on the perimeter, but if you watch the games, he is complaining to the refs most after he makes a drive to the rim. But as I said in a previous post, I think this is just overall frustration. Since he is missing his threes, he is trying to make plays at the rim instead, and missing a layup that he thinks he got fouled on is harder for him to move on from than usual because of the overall frustration. Kind of like "If I can't make a three, then you better call the fouls I get on a drive." Right now, Dame is mostly impacting the game as a distributor, which is not the game that we or he are used to.
