They needed to keep Jarrett Allen imo, not only over DAJ but over one of Kyrie or Harden, obviously Kyrie as things currently stand. I still think they are a show particularly if somehow Kyrie is available for the play offs, a healthy Harden and Durant without Kyrie are not to be disregarded either.

Jokic is the best player in the league. Giannis and KD are right there, but its Jokic for sure.

Jokic was ok in the Suns series. Nothing close to what would make me think he was at the level that we have seen from LeBron/Giannis/KD/Steph/Kawhi.

Jokic is not even close to the best player in the league. In fact hes not even in the top 5.

You just want to pretend like its him because I'm a Nets fan so therefore my opinion is invalid

In order for someone to become the "best player in the league" they have to prove they can do it at the highest level.

I would easily take KD, Giannis, LeBron, Steph, Kawhi over Jokic. Guys who have proven they can elevate a team to a Championship level in the playoffs.

Not having a nice regular season or two.

Jokics been one of the best playoff performers ever so far.

One of the best play performers "ever" that hasn't made it past the Conference Finals?

His stats from the Suns series are not even better than his regular season stats.

What has Jokic done in the playoffs to make him even better than James Harden?

Jokic is not even in the conversation for the best player in the league until he does something in the playoffs.

Getting swept by the Suns doesn't qualify.

In all honesty this isnt a very smart comment. I get it, you are Nets fan and KD is your guy but please be better. No man can win on his own. Nuggets were the only ones contesting the lakers' title, and they could have done it if not for the shady officiating. Jokic has shown enough in the post season.

LeBron and Davis both destroyed Jokic in that series. Had nothing to do with the officiating.

In fact, Murray played far better in that series than Jokic did.

Jokic had his chance that year to prove he was the best in the world. I get it hes young. He has plenty of more chances.

But why give it to him when he wasn't won anything yet? Thats not how it works.

Harden is one of the most elite shot placers in the game. His passes are not good good but well placed for shooters.

Watch a game instead stating your non-sense with "believe it or not" like you know something.

Harden assists on 2.6 out of Durants 11.2 made field goals.
52% of his FGs are un-assisted, which is tied for highest in his career with 2013/14 season (guess which year he won MVP).

Durant is killing it, has nothing to do with Harden.

Funny how haters claim Harden is at most a borderline star at present and most say a glorified role player but when it comes to Durant he is suddenly a superstar talent relied upon to make his scoring easier. Durant nearly beat a fully healthy championship team last year alone. That is a fact. My bad - they were missing their own superstar DV

Bad delusional takes doesn't help explain away Harden's contributions to the team.

Harden creates gravity, keeps the defense honest, creates open shots to role players, Durant gets mismatches, etc.

Nothing to do with Harden. okay

You guys seem to have short term memory loss. Just because a player has one good regular season doesn't make them the best player.

LeBron won a Finals MVP and outplayed Jokic just last year. Did Jokic even look close to as good as LeBron in that series?

When it mattered Jokic destroyed Kawhi. And lol at one good season, Jokic was #4 in MVP voting back in 2018-19, he's one of the top players for several years now, your fault if you were living under the rock.

Kawhi is a basketball DH now. He absolutely does not deserve to be in anyone's top five. If guys like Curry, Durant, LeBron, Jokic, Giannis got to take half the regular season off they would absolutely go insane in the playoffs. It's a joke now to even mention Kawhi. Yes he was elite, maybe he had one or two seasons you could make a case for him as the best player but now?

If you aren't attempting to play every game you are not competing bottom line. Everybody has injuries they nurse as their career progresses, that's the nature of contact pro sports.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

He is the best scorer and has argument for the best player with Jokic Curry and Giannis. Its far away from clearly....

This times one hundred. Preseason it was a 3 man race....Jokic, KD and Giannis and then Curry joined the conversation.

There are 4 guys playing miles ahead of the rest of the league- if I were voting I would have Jokic 1st, Curry second, KD third and then Giannis. But it’s razor thin

GIannis is one of the most offensively limited "superstars" ever.....so I'd never want him in my 2k team if I had to choose a superstar.

I also wouldn't want Durant in my 2k team, but for the opposite reason.....Durant is too good for video games.
I'd get more pleasure from the challenge of defending Durant than scoring with him.

And I put the "all-time" rosters into a draft pool, and Durant is still too good, so I play with Michael Jordan instead....

What? Did you miss the finals? You don’t have to say something disparaging and illogical just to pump up KD....

The top 4 players are Giannis, KD, Curry and Jokic. I think you can put them in different orders.

wtf is he going to do when he's playing in 'an important series' as you put it, average way less? This guy lmao.

Yes Kawhi had a very bad playoffs in 2020. The problem is weve seen him play at a higher level than Jokic ever has in 2019 and win a Championship.

Also "destroy" is a funny word to use when they were down 3-1 and barely won a Game 7.

So what if he was top 4 in voting lol. Isiah Thomas was #5 in MVP voting in 2017. Is he a top 5 NBA player?

No one said hes not "one of the top" players. But hes not in the conversation for best player in the world.

And youre delusional if you think so.

"Playoff averages" don't make you the best player in the league if youre not making Finals or winning a Championship. Sorry.

You have to prove you can do it on the big stage at least once.
