I like Garland but think he's a bit overhyped... and he's still better than any of our guys

If this team wants to keep losing a lot of games fast, playing RJ is the way to do it. Even if his peripherals are okay at times, the ball movement just dies when he's out there. We are a far worse team.

Thought Suggs has played better the last few games tbh. Besides turnovers. Shooting obviously is going to always need work

Our standards and expectations for him have lowered. When he has just an “ok” game without many huge mistakes, we consider that as Suggs “playing well.” He’s really only had 3 good games all year.

I’m mostly frustrated currently. I don’t think he’s a bust and I also think he’ll end up being pretty good.

That was a horrendous missed call by the ref on Wendell.

Credit to Cleveland, they’ve built a veritable wall at the rim with Allen + Mobley + Markkanen.

I really have no problem with Wendell getting tossed there. Less than 3 minutes to go and there was no way the Magic were going to come back and win so getting tossed didn't really hurt.

I like the fire he showed.

I feel sad. I feel very very sad looking at Cavs new draft addition of Evan Mobley. This is a guy that has just missed a bunch of games with an elbow injury, extremely young, inexperienced rookie...and he's still so much better at everything he does compared to our 4th year veteran Mo Bamba.

His all-around awareness is miles away from Bamba, his intensity, his defensive instincts and timing, his blocking ability, etc. He stays within himself, hitting his hook shots, midrange jumpers and some threes. He's always engaged in the game and no one questions his motor. Only if we haven't wasted a bunch of draft picks these last few years...

Our center is so far far away in another galaxy, it's not even funny. :banghead:

Agreed. He was clearly fouled. Like someone still cares.

He's a pick up ball player. When nothing matters and neither team is doing anything meaningful, he can rack up stats in irrelevant situations.

Just no understanding of how to play basketball.

RJ does have speed. But his speed never translate getting to the hoop and score. He never does that. All the tine he did was driving to the hoop and then lob it to the perimeter players or a TurnOver. Very depressing to see.

When we traded for RJ, I was thrilled. But he never translate into meaningful and worthy playing time.

Yes, he has speed. But he doesn't have a lot of good skills to be a good guard. Very disappointing to see

I actually see the game slowing down for Suggs each game. Obvious things like ball handling is an issue, but overall the game (speed of it), he's improving.

It does make you wonder if Okeke's run last year was a fluke. His release scares me, && I really don't think he moves his feet all that well defensively. If shots aren't falling, you're left wondering what it is exactly he does well.

I really think the Cavs are a decent team for the Magic to try and emulate moving forward

They made four lotto picks in a row and now in year 4 of their rebuild they've supplemented all those picks by acquiring Rubio, Allen and Markkanen via trades.

Now they're probably going to make the playoffs and still have Garland and Mobley's development to push them even further.

Did anything he say off line? Bamba is a veteran and there are rookies like Mobley and Franz that are so better composed and effective than Bamba. Wasted draft pick.

The missed free throws hurt The Magic and they did play better.

However, I really think the injuries specifically in the backcourt to Fultz, Anthony and even MCW are really hurting this time. You got to play through them but they are a big factor.

Why didn't they trade away Kevin Love? A buy out?
